Linkin Park DLC (8 songs) coming on 9/14?
Big ups to @HeyRiles for the notification on this one, but according to an admin at Linkin Park fansite LPAssociation.com, we can expect to see some cross promotion with Linkin Park featuring two songs from their forthcoming album release “A Thousand Suns” due out the same day, as well as six other older hits from the band. While this is not a confirmation, it does sound somewhat legit, as the source also notes that songs will be featured in other rhythm games.
Included below is a supposed official pic of Warner’s (WEA) licensing from the site:

Finally coming? One Step Closer was in RB2.
hmmm….I’d buy it
God I hope so. I listened to LP so much as a kid that I’d undoubtedly download anything that comes out from them. Hoping for Given Up and Bleed it Out specifically.
Too bad it’s before RB3, though =(
I’ve been wondering when we’d get a little bit more Linkin Park. Seems crazy that we haven’t seen some of their biggest hits already. They’re not my favorite band, but they’re good enough that it’d be fun and other people would be up for playing.
Bleh. I loath LP, so i wont be tuching this with a ten foot pole.

You and me both!
About time, a lot of people will say. I might get some/all. Used to listen to Linkin Park a lot, but noy anymore. I’ll see which songs they get.
This is GREAT news for me. LP is one of my most listened to bands in the early/mid 2000′s. They are the most recent band I have seen live in concert.
Nice. Haven’t liked much Linkin Park past Meteora, but I’d love to have some songs from their first two albums.

Agreed–I’m more in tune with their first album.
Bah…. where are the songs from the progenitors of LP’s sound: 311!

Yes! Someone one with some sense.
Hopefully the old songs have nothing to do with Transformers 2.
Man, I listened to Meteora pretty much every day in middle school. Faint would be excellent and nostalgic.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

THIS!
“Cure For The Itch” would be awesome for drums.
I hope it’s some good ones like Bleed it Out and What I’ve Done, but I’m really wishing they’d save Numb for the RB3 disc.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see In Th End in RB3. It’s their big hit and has piano.
I approve!
*thumbs up*
WOO!
Very cool! Can’t wait to see what 6 “hits” they offer!
It was about time, FUCK YEAH!!!
What I find interesting on that list is the announcement of 6… yes 6 songs for GH! Activision must be bumping up their DLC releases due to the constant complaining.

6 new songs though.. LP new isn’t anywhere near their HITS.
Eh not really a big fan of the band but I do suppose they’re overdue for more songs in Rock Band.
I don’t care what anyone thinks. I’ve liked LP since I was 6 and this is looking to be the best DLC announcement in this whole year.
Im a little upset, I would buy linkin park but I just dont want to see any dlc that I like coming out before rock band 3 since it wont have pro mode. I want to be able to play everything in pro mode so im hoping they save all the good stuff for later (ESPECIALLY if they relase master of puppets) (MASTER! MASTER!)
Ooh, a Tap Tap LP. I guess I better go buy an iTunes gift card soon.
As much as this excites me, I almost wish that it would wait for RB3 DLC, simply because of the harmonies.
I keep wanting to chant: “Linkin Park is a roller coaster! Linkin Park is a roller coaster!”
I hope most of the songs are from hybrid theory. It’s their best album.
Sad for lack of harmonies
I wanted LP DLC after RB3!
Hopefully, they will get patched later.
