    • Dylan says:

Well that 100% conferms the rumored song list in my mind.

    • JODIsBack says:

Hell yes, those were the Manson, Filter and Tears for Fears songs I wanted to be in the game. Bricks have been shat.

    • Yanulevich says:

Was expecting something a little bit more but this is cool for now

    • CircaNow says:

      Foolin’? Awesome.

    • VaultICEE says:

Was kinda hoping for Love Shack over Rock Lobster, but any B-52s is better than none.

Still, its kind of strange. Rock Lobster is a great song, but I always thought Love Shack would be perfect for RB3. Especially harmony-wise.

      • RockBandAide says:

I think Love Shack is more popular, but the horns section is so dominant in that song, I’m not sure it would be a good fit for Rock Band. Not saying it won’t be in at some point, because it would still be a fun song in the game.

    • Fleat says:

Foolin’ wasn’t my first choice, but I’ll take it. Hopefully we see more Leppard and Tears for Fears as DLC.

      • RockBandAide says:

True. Was really hoping for Pour Some Sugar on Me, but Def Leppard has a solid catalog of songs. I’m hoping they release Hysteria as album DLC.

    • ammar91994 says:

Does anybody have any news on what exactly went down at the panel?

      • RockBandAide says:

No. Harmonix may have video of the panel, but I think HMXPope even said their video camera was busted. Not sure if we’ll get to see the whole thing, but if I find media otherwise, I’ll post it on the site.

    • Drpepperfan says:

I don’t know the Def Leppard song they chose, but Cold as Ice, Rock Lobster and Everybody Wants to Rule the World? Nice.

    • Asphyx1ateD says:

I swear Cold As Ice was VERY early DLC? Or was that a cover actually?

I know GH5 got it not so long ago.

      • non_zero says:

You’re thinking of Juke Box Hero. Cold As Ice has never been in a game.

      • Ospero says:

As non_zero said: That was a cover of Juke Box Hero.

And no, GH5 didn’t get Cold As Ice either. They have Hot Blooded (pretty early DLC for GHWT) and recently got Juke Box Hero, too.

    • Hines says:

I noted that 2112 by Rush is in the playlist on the RB3 songs page. Is there anything to that or did you just throw a random Rush song in there?

      • grace.pressure says:

2112 was the rumored “level” to be included in Guitar Hero: WoR. Since the rumor was that Geddy Lee allegedly said RB3 will “also be getting one,” that could mean 2112 or another song. Since 2112 has been confirmed for GH:WoR, Rush should definitely be coming to RB3, and I can’t see them not picking a synth-y song like Subdivisions. God let it be Subdivisions. XD Anyway. Still very exciting to be a Rush fan now.

        • grace.pressure says:

If it is 2112, it’s great, though it will probably be dwarfed by the GH dreamscape-y version. But, seriously, talk about an opportunity wasted to showcase the new keyboard in all its glory.

          • Hines says:

I agree. GH has my attention more than RB3 right now just because of 2112, but I’m interested to see the full RB3 setlist.

      • RockBandAide says:

I threw 2112 in there as a placeholder. Guitar Hero’s Twitter has recently said that the song 2112 is exclusive to Guitar Hero, although not the band. I’m still convinced Rush will be on disc, but not that song.

    • pbenson1167 says:

FINALLY some DEF on Rock Band…

    • non_zero says:

Beautiful People was a terrible song in Guitar Hero and it’ll be a terrible song in Rock Band.

      • JODIsBack says:

It was only terrible in Guitar Hero because of the X+ glitch. It’ll be kickass in RB.

        • skydog says:

          Plus it’s his best song.

          • Dogmatic says:

No, it’s not and I agree with non_zero.

          • skydog says:

IMO… sorry forgot to put that LOL.
I hate his music… especially the new stuff..
and Sweet Dreams is overrated (and would be a snorefest on rock band!)

          • Yanulevich says:

I personaly think his best song is rock is dead

          • RockBandAide says:

I’m with Yanulevich. I think “Rock is Dead” would have been an excellent addition to Rock Band 3, and a funny tongue-in-cheek song pick. Haven’t played “Beautiful People” in GH, so I’m looking forward to it in Rock Band 3. But I also like Marilyn Manson.

    • skydog says:

      I like all but Filter…
Filter is the worse on this.. I mean really.. they suck.
But I guess I’ll have to deal with 5 minutes of them (all their freaking songs are too long!)

      • RockBandAide says:

Personal opinion, I guess, but I don’t think they suck. I really like ’em, although I wouldn’t have choose “Hey Man, Nice Shot,” granted its their biggest “hit.”

        • killer_roach says:

I still say for the heavier side of Filter something like “Welcome To The Fold” would’ve been better, but nobody remembers that song because it was the singe before “Take A Picture”, which is their biggest hit.

    • Riosan says:

I was hoping more for Head over Heels rather than EWTRTW, but any TFF is awesome.

    • Reckless says:

The Beautiful People pro guitar. What a joke.

      • RockBandAide says:

        Why is it a joke?

      • Ospero says:

Yeah. I Wanna Be Sedated or I Love Rock n Roll is so much better suited for pro. /sarcasm

In all seriousness, you do realize that people are likely to pick up RB3 Pro to LEARN an instrument? I for one wouldn’t want to start my learning curve at the Painkiller/Panic Attack/Visions level.

    • chedita says:

follin!?!?! I expected different, but this is good they choose a different def leppard.

    • Toad3000 says:

Foolin’ wouldn’t be my first choice, but I’m stoked to see Def Leppard coming to RB at all. Hopefully this means there’s more on the way!
Also a little shocked that we’re getting Rock Lobster instead of Love Shack and Everybody Wants to Rule the World instead of Head Over Heels, but…they’ll still be a ton of fun.
Also, meh Marilyn Manson and yaaayy Cold as Ice and Hey Man, Nice Shot.

      • Ospero says:

Say – why is everyone pining for Head Over Heels by Tears For Fears, of all songs? Was that their unlikely breakout hit in the US? Because there are at least half a dozen songs by that band that have better recognition around my neck of the woods, Shout and Sowing the Seeds of Love to name but two.

This is not intended to be confrontational; I really have no idea what song you’re even talking about (and I’m going to look it up now).

        • Toad3000 says:

I was never a huge Tears for Fears fan, but the “literal video version” of Head Over Heels had me practically crying when I first saw it, and as a result, I get warm & fuzzy when I hear the song now. Everybody Wants to Rule the World will probably be fun, but it got WAY overplayed back in the 80s. Shout seems like it would be less fun, and also was seriously overplayed. I don’t know Sowing the Seeds of Love by name, I’d have to look that one up.

        • metallichris71 says:

I’ll add my pining for Head Over Heels is because of that soooooo great keyboard, perfect for this, and also because I enjoy Donnie Darko, which was a memorable use of the song.

    • skydog says:

I guess everyone has their opinions 🙂

    • Polite says:

Got to say, those songs are a majority of awesome. The 90% of awesome of the songs they have announced so far is very very high.

      • Polite says:

err. that is to say “The percentage of awesome of the songs…” … i don’t know where that 90% came from. bad fingers.

    • gordofredito says:

hey man nice shot & everbody wants to rule the world were obvious
