Is Pearl Jam: Rock Band Closer Than We Think?
I know there have been rumors of a Pearl Jam project for some time, but I don’t think this is for real, as cool as it would be. The box art is decent, but it smacks of a quick photoshop job. It combines common graphical elements from Pearl Jam and Rock Band (their website background), and unlike previous band-centric games, does not feature the band’s actual likeness on the cover.
Shoddy box art aside, I would find it hard to believe that a Swedish gaming store would have the box art for a game that has yet to be officially announced by Harmonix.
If you want to check out the site where it came from, have a gander at WebHallen.com, or the image captured below.

i love rock band makes family nite so fun @waterbluffy
Rock Band’s logo is placed before Pearl Jam’s.
Its fake.
Would Harmonix REALLY change it to Rock Band: Pearl Jam after Green Day and The Beatles?
The Rock Band band-centric games all place the band’s name first, just like your title to this post. But the cover and the website image both call the game “Rock Band: Pearl Jam” instead of “Pearl Jam: Rock Band.”
WebHallen.com be trollin
To be fair, some random German or other language website managed to post the achievements to the Metal Track Pack before anyone else, so I wouldn’t be so quick to toss this away

Good point. I was thinking that this may be a “dummy image” for an unannounced title they have been told about but forget to keep under wraps. Of course, this isn’t the first time a fake Rock Band title was put on a retailer’s website: http://rockbandaide.com/the-who-rock-band-sooner-than-we-thought/
Real or fake aside…we’ve got so much Pearl Jam already available what’s the point? And I feel the same way about a The Who RB and definately a Foo RB.

Two Pearl Jam album, their first and most recent. They released 7 studios albums (and countless live, bootlegs and compilations) in between that.
As much as I love Pearl Jam, with two of their best albums aleady in Rock Band, what point is there really to a whole game?

Keep in mind that the project (announced last year) was for all live songs, including some that we’ve already got on-disc or as DLC, and including many that aren’t available for Rock Band yet. (Yeah, I know — more fuel for the “OMG I HATE LIVE TRACKS” fire) Plus, this game would undoubtedly feature (like GDRB) mo-cap of the band themselves, new venues, as well as interviews, art, etc for the fans. So even if that likely means yet a THIRD version of “Alive” for the platform, a lot of fans (including me) would be willing to buy it for the chance to play AS the band.
Also, about the box art — keep in mind that it was a Canadian sales site that showed the GDRB box art before anyone else, and everyone screamed “fake” then. Coupla days later, it was confirmed.
Cautiously optimistic, but I think the PJ box art is legit.
While this is obviously fake IMO there was an announcement a long time ago about a pearl jam rock band project in the works in the announcement section on the forums… we havnt heard anything about that since that was up so i wonder what the go is with that?… If this is real though it would be absolutely awesome!
I love Pearl jam and would buy this! but I am really not a fan of paying for Live tracks of studio versions I already own.
BUT why not I guess, they have more than enough music to come out with a whole game.
However I wish they would just start releasing Albums on disk, just like CDs that you could import onto your HD.
If its all Live, I will have a tough choice.
