Rock Band unveils March DLC lineup

While there was no DLC announced today on account of the March Update, we did find out what artists are going to be coming to Rock Band this month. There’s no indication of what songs or when we’re going to receive them, but we do have a nice idea now of what kind of month we’re in for.

  • 5 Seconds of Summer
  • Carrie Underwood
  • The Cranberries
  • Fall Out Boy
  • Luke Bryan
  • Neon Trees
  • One Direction
  • Sam Hunt

  • Zombie by Cranberries or RIOT. 😛

  • Seth says:

Only the addition of The Cranberries save this month from being the worst month of Rock Band DLC. Too much country/modern pop.

  • Erick says:

    My predictions:
    Uma Thurman – FOB
    Zombie – The Cranberries
    Everybody Talks – Neon Trees

  • murph says:

lolwut? see you in April I guess.

  • karakofreak says:

Sound like a grab from the bargain bin

  • Daralen says:

I was thinking the same thing. I sure hope we get Zombie. That would make this month OK for me.

  • PNG_Gamer says:

    WOW… This sucks

  • Simon says:

At least we’re likely getting Zombie which has been available as a custom for ages. It doesn’t really seem like they’re trying that hard this with regard to landing some heavy hitters for DLC.

  • Rob says:

….? Gotta be honest. I’m regretting buying 4 just a little bit. One Direction? Come on. Combine lackluster DLC with the legacy instrument issues i’m having…. takes the fun out of it.

  • Bananenhelmut says:

Guys you are all so stupid every Dlc is better than no dlc 😉 think about it. Or go to guitar hero

  • Nick says:

As much as none of this appeals at all to me (aside from the probability of Zombie finally), I don’t doubt that this music is all much better sellers for Harmonix than any of the Prog/Metal/Rock I would have wanted. It would be nice for at least one good week, but I just can’t blame them for going for what’s actually selling.

And given my wife’s taste in boring pop music, I have no doubt I’ll end up buying some of this garbage at some point. But maybe I’ll be surprised.

  • Croq360 says:

That first 1D song must have sold well to get another so soon…

Here’s hoping that the FOB song is Uma Thurman. Love the use of the Munsters theme in that song!

  • Plusalpha says:

Lol See you in April! (or may, or june, or till they add the static vocals, can’t play like this, maybe it’s my tv but I’m having headache all times!)

I don’t understand why people complain about what is coming out each week. Whatever song or artist you love is going to be one that someone else despises. My cousin only enjoyies playing 70s and 80s metal. He literally won’t play with other people if they won’t play what he wants to. Some coul dfeel that way about country or pop music. The point is they can’t please everyone every month. There are still a lot of great songs that are already in the music shop you could buy. I have a wishlist of about 200+ songs I can buy from this month. just be happy that we are getting DLC every week instead of the god awful mess that guitar hero is currently doing.

While there is likely to be a song here and there that I’ll pick up, the line-up for March doesn’t really wow me. If the patch proves to be a substantial one, and/or they get a few more of the exports live, then I will forgive them for the more pop-oriented DLC. Otherwise, it seems like I won’t be booting up Rock Band much this month.

  • Cystic says:

I like how they’re providing variety but I’m extremely shocked we haven’t had a new a7x pack announced.

Happy bout Luke Bryan, and enjoy the 1 week for country a month.

But I want eric church more dangit! Lol

  • RBAddict666 says:

Urgh… other than The Cranberries I’ll be passing on everything this month.

  • Dananon says:

Fall Out Boy 3 Pack please. Also, instead of buying DLC this month, you guys can go donate to Harmonix’s Fig account to bring Rock Band to PC.

I’m kinda curious to see what happens with FOB and 1D this week. I can bet one of them is getting a 3-pack and the other will join 5SoS and Neon Trees for a singles week. They both got enough hit songs to warrant a 3-pack, the question is who gets it.

Cranberries are definitely getting a 3-pack. It’s March, they’re Irish, it writes itself.

Carrie, Luke and Sam are sharing a week, though whether they’ll be singles or packed together is up in the air. Considering the recent trend, I’ll bet they’ll be singles.
