Pro-Guitar/Bass Upgrades for Select Rock Band Blitz Songs Coming?

It seems like this question has been asked multiple times, and it seems like each and every time Harmonix shoots the idea down… at least at launch. This is an example of what @HMXHenry has said addressing it:
There won’t be any Pro guitar upgrades available at launch but we’ve discussed the possibility of releasing a few as DLC at a later date. You can keep posted to future DLC announcements for more info.
But now that the Rock Band Blitz songs are live over on RockBand.com, it appears that there may be evidence that several tracks may see Pro-Guitar/Bass upgrades.
As you can see from the image we captured above, it appears that there are some Rock Band Blitz tracks with the Pro-Guitar/Bass upgrade icon. You can verify this yourself over at RockBand.com, if you want (for a brief time, I’m sure).
We went through all the Rock Band Blitz songs, and noticed the following track with Pro-Guitar/Bass icons on RockBand.com:
- Iron Maiden – Wicker Man
- Kool & the Gang – Jungle Boogie
- Living Colour – Cult of Personality
- Red Hot Chili Peppers – Give It Away
- Rick Springfield – Jessie’s Girl
- Soundgarden – Spoonman
Take this with a grain of salt however, as we have seen Pro-Guitar/Bass upgrade icons on songs over at RockBand.com before, however many rumored tracks ultimately ended up having never received Pro upgrades. In fact, this may very well be an error, as the individual pages for these songs clearly list “No Part” for the Pro Guitar and Pro Bass sections.
[Special thanks to Felix for the heads up!]

Thank Jebus
Happy to see the possibility of Pro upgrades for Blitz songs. Im saddened to see no Shine on the list, which would be my most wanted pro song, followed by Once Bitten, Twice Shy.
Dammit, no “These Days”.

This is ALL still rumor at this point, but I admit that was the first one I checked for, too.

Personally, I’ve been wanting to learn the solo for “Shine.”
Squee, Spoonman!
I thought there was some issue with upgrading in-game (I suppose on-disc isn’t entirely accurate anymore) songs. If they’ve fixed that, then that’s awesome news. But I get the feeling it’ll apply only to Blitz and not RB 1/2.
As far as Pro Upgrades go, I’d love to see, on top of the ones mentioned here (although I DO think Jungle Boogie would be annoying):
One Week
Shine
These Days
Pumped Up Kicks
Death on Two Legs
Bang Your Head
Diamond Eyes
*Gasp* Give It Away!?!?!?!?
Omg, Harmonix know how to keep this pony happy. At first I was sad because Always didn’t get a pro upgrade, and I was going to post a comment about how sad I was. But then I went back up, and saw Give It Away had an upgrade. I then gasped like this “Gaaaaaasp” because I love Give It Away! It’s a fun song that everypony should play. I love the one vocal bit where it’s “Give It Away Give It Away Give It Away Now!” I mean I don’t play guitar, but this song definitely deserves it, and it is an awesome song to have. I’m still sad that Always didn’t get an upgrade, but this makes up for it. Hopefully Always get’s an upgrade in the future because I always have parties, and it is my jam! Who would want to see me pull out a guitar, and jam away to Always? I know Rainbow Dash wouldn’t, but still. That would be the most epic thing ever =D
So yeah, Give It Away!

I’ve played “Spoonman” 3 times on drums since I downloaded Blitz.
…It never gets old.
I’m a little disappointed that Always didn- CULT OF PERSONALITY YES
IF this is true then I really hope that in the week PS3 and 360 get the Pro-Upgrades for ‘Spoonman’ and ‘Give It Away’, the RB3 versions will be released (for purchase) on Wii. I want my BSSM album to be complete again! ! !
Oh man Cult Of Personality. I’m excited for that one. I hope this rumor pulls through
Cult of Personality and Wicker Man to get Pro upgrades?
YES! YES! YES!
Good excuse to get them on Wii if true.
I don’t think the RB store has the capability to sell pro upgrades without the associated track in the DLC store, but I would love to be proven wrong.
I imagine the only way this would happen is if the songs from Rock Band Blitz were made available as individual DLC purchases at some point.
