6400 MSP in Prizes for Playing New RBN Track “Foundation”

Going on now until July 14th, you have a chance to win one of FOUR 1600 MSP prizes through the Rock Band Network and DLCQuickplay.
Arriving last week on the RBN was the song Foundation, from new RBN artist an Unkindness. If you pick up this modestly priced (80MSP) track, and upload a video response to the video below of yourself doing something cool while playing the track, you have a chance to win 1600 MSP! You have until July 14th, when Adam from an Unkindness will pick the four most interesting videos and award the points.
And if you like what you hear, this song and 3 others are available as a free download at http://anunkindness.com/
Spreading the Fever With “Pac-Man Fever” Giveaway!

To help celebrate today’s RBN DLC release of several tracks from Buckner & Garcia’s “Pac-Man Fever” album, we are giving away three copies of the Buckner & Garcia’s “Pac-Man Fever” album along with three Pac-Man “cheat sheets” autographed by Jerry Buckner and Gary Garcia. Big thanks to Ozone Entertainment for providing us with the giveaway!
“Pac-Man Fever” was originally released in 1982, and each song on the album is about a different classic arcade game. The title song was released as a single in December 1981 and became a top-ten hit, peaking at #9 in March 1982 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning gold certification by the RIAA for selling over a million records. The album itself went on to receive a gold certification from the RIAA, with over a million records sold.
If you want to enter to win one of the albums and autographed cheat sheets, enter in the comments below. As Pac-Man was definitely among one of the first video games I’ve ever played, all you have to do to enter is tell us the name of the first video game you ever played in your life. One entry per household please. I will randomly choose winners after 12:00 PM (central) tomorrow, so you have until then to enter. Good luck!
Enter to RANDOMLY Win Foo Fighters DLC Codes Here!

Hey old and new RockBandAide fans! I’m sure you’ve seen the previous post today talking about the Foo Fighters DLC code giveaways by now. The codes hidden in that post have all been found and redeemed, but we still have LOTS of codes to be redeemed.
Giving out the codes on Twitter is a good way to drum up followers, it’s sometimes hard (OK, damn near impossible) to quickly enter the codes when they are tweeted out unless you are wearing out your F5 key. @RockBand has been doing a good job of choosing people randomly via the #FFDLC hashtag, but I wanted to support the people that visit the site here rather than check out some of the prize hounds following @RockBandAide on Twitter just for free stuff. (But by all means, follow @RockBandAide on Twitter.)
So in an effort to both “fairly” give out the codes and to change up the #FFDLC giveaway a little bit, we’ll give out the remaining codes later tonight randomly to people who post below in the comments. BEFORE YOU POST… here’s a couple things to remember:
- Enter your favorite Foo Fighters song in the comments below, along with a valid email address (in the MAIL field… not the comment itself) to send the code to. It doesn’t have to be one of the songs currently released as DLC, but it does have to be a Foo Fighters song. It can be my least favorite (“Big Me”) or my new favorite (“White Limo”), although winners will be chosen randomly, so don’t let me influence your favorite track.
- One entry per household. Every time there’s a giveaway, people conveniently forgot this rule and void themselves. The reason behind this is that if you and your little brother both enter, only one of you can use DLC anyway. Why double up on DLC purchases anyway? Unless you’re made of money. In which case, just buy the DLC, Mr. Moneybags.
- Free stuff rules. Foo Fighters DEFINITELY rule. So by definition free Foo Fighters DLC rules so hard. If the site is rushed by people and momentarily knocked offline while you are submitting your entry, check back in five or ten minutes to see if your entry went through.
- I will choose winners randomly after 8:00 PM (central) tonight, and email the codes to them. This will give EVERYONE time to enter, regardless of being at school, work, or play in the next 8 hours, but still let your weekend be a little more awesome with some Foo Fighters DLC!
UPDATE: To the best of my knowledge, these codes CAN be redeemed worldwide.
After you post your entry, head on over to GameInformer to check out what other DLC is coming this month!!! And be sure to thank @RockBand and @HarmonixMusic for the codes, who were awesome enough to let us help give out some DLC!
Good luck!
Xbox 360 Foo Fighters DLC Codes

If you’ve been hanging around Twitter this week, you will have seen that @RockBand and a number of the community and developer folks have been sending out codes redeemable for this week’s Foo Fighters DLC. @HMXHenry reached out to us last night and gave us a big ole’ batch of codes (FIFTY, to be precise). There’s no perfect way to hand out all these codes, but we do have a few ideas. Stay tuned to @RockBandAide on Twitter today as I give hints on how, where, and when to get a chance at snagging one of these codes.
If you are really impatient and want a code NOW, well then I suggest you take a look around this post. I’ve hidden five different DLC pack codes throughout this post. If you’re good, you’ll find them.
Good luck!
Wii Giveaway – Metal Track Pack

With the slew of Foo Fighters giveaways taking place on Twitter from @RockBand and a number of the Harmonix crew for the Xbox 360, I thought I might try to spread the wealth a little bit and offer a giveaway for the Wii players.
Similar to the Track Pack Volume 1 giveaway, we’re going to use the same rules as before. HUGE thanks to @HMXThrasher for hooking us up with a few Rock Band track packs for the Nintendo Wii while I was out at PAX East!
If you’re interested in picking up a copy of prize shown above, follow the rules to enter below and you’ll be entered to win a copy of the Rock Band “Metal Track Pack″ for the Nintendo Wii.
- To enter, simply post your favorite Rock Band metal song in the comments, but read on…
- ONE entry per household. Each comment is one entry, so please don’t respond to other people’s comments, because when I do a data dump from the comments, it looks like you’ve tried to enter twice, and your entries become invalid. Also, if for some reason you’re not sure your comment “went through,” instead of entering it again to make sure, wait a few minutes and refresh the comments to check.
- I will shop worldwide for this contest, so feel free to enter from where ever you are, provided you play on the Wii.
- I will select one winner randomly from the entries tomorrow (5/12) after 12:00 pm CENTRAL time.

Good luck!
Wii Giveaway – Track Pack Volume 1

Has it really been a month since PAX East has been over?! Wow… I’m really dragging my feet on a few things, aren’t I? I still need to upload the Harmonix Reverse Q&A panel video I shot, as well as post the responses to the questions you guy submitted. Well to make amends, I’ve got a few small giveaways in the works, starting with this one.
HUGE thanks to @HMXThrasher for hooking me up with a few Rock Band track packs for the Nintendo Wii while I was out at PAX East!!! (Spoiler: That means more Wii track pack giveaways are coming!)
If you’re interested in picking up a copy of prize shown above, follow the rules to enter below and you’ll be entered to win a copy of “Track Pack Volume 1″ for the Nintendo Wii.
- To enter, simply post your favorite Rock Band 3 or RB3-era DLC song in the comments, but read on…
- ONE entry per household.
- I will select one winner randomly from the entries tomorrow (4/14) after 10:00 am CENTRAL time.
Good luck!
