RBN announcements (for both Xbox 360 and PS3) will now be made on Thursdays going forward. The Xbox 360 RBN DLC content will be available on the day it is announced, and PS3 content will still be available on the following Tuesday.

I also touched based with Harmonix and have established what I believe to be a workaround for both Xbox 360 and PS3 folks on purchasing RBN content very easily. With each RBN post, I will include a link to a playlist that will have all the songs in the announcement. Assuming you have linked your RockBand.com profile to your game, you can edit and save the playlist linked here to your console through RockBand.com so that you can easily purchase any or all songs when you sit down to play Rock Band 3!
