Rock Band 3 Stage Demo from Gamespot

So as you can imagine, and see below, Rock Band 3 is amazing! I got a chance to try out Pro Keys on Easy, and Pro Drums on Expert. Keys is VERY cool, and just like the other instruments, something I can’t wait to get good (well, better) at. Pro Drums has a very familiar feeling, especially since many of you already have the necessary hardware. We already knew that the legacy drum kits from Rock Band 2 and Beatles: Rock Band with the MadCatz cymbal add-ons will get you ready for Rock Band 3. Well, Cena confirmed for us yesterday that Rock Band 3 will indeed allow compatibility with the Ion Drum Rocker, and will work perfectly with Pro mode if you have the included cymbals with it.

I’ve got much more that I’m trying to get caught up on, including a whole bunch of videos (the full Rock Band 3 stage demo from inside the booth is coming), so I’m working to do as much as I can this morning before the show starts. More details to come! In the meantime, check out Gamespot’s video of the Rock Band 3 demo!

E3… I’ve ALMOST Arrived

I’ve always wanted to try this, so I guess now’s my chance. I’m about an hour outside of Los Angeles, and should be on the ground soon. I’ll only be in town for a few days, so it’ll be a whirlwind why I’m there. I’ll try and post when/if I can on the site, but you may be better off following @RockBandAide on Twitter for any “breaking news.” New RockBandAide.com writer and superstar @ElektraFi said she would help pull a post together if there is a lot of new stuff, otherwise sit tight for a little bit and I’ll update as soon as I can!

In the meantime, I’ll be finishing up my Rock Band: Unplugged game and a little pre-E3 cocktail…

Sound Off! What Questions Do You Want Asked at E3?

OK, so this time next week I’ll probably have had some hands on time with Rock Band 3… and any other projects Harmonix may be showing off. I’ll have a chance to chat with a bunch of the folks at Harmonix, so I wanted to see what questions you may have for them. I’m hoping a majority of them may be addressed at their presentation, but if there’s anything specific you want me to ask, feel free to add them in the comments below, and I’ll see if I can get some answers for you while I’m there.

Release Date for Rock Band: Pearl Jam Live (Rumor)

OK, I think I may be eating my words here….

Destructoid received word from MTV Games yesterday about the rumored Pearl Jam: Rock Band game. This is what they said:

“We haven’t announced any products beyond Green Day: Rock Band and Rock Band 3. We have a great relationship with Pearl Jam and hope to have more of their awesome music in the game in the future.”

Well, now comes this little bit of information. RockBand.com superstar @HeyRiles just sent me this (via RedDragon1991)… Apparently the rumor yesterday about a Pearl Jam: Rock Band game coming out this year is looking more and more accurate.

Swiss retail website wog.ch (I’m not familiar with it, either) posted a description titled “Rock Band: Pearl Jam Live,” with a release date of September 16th, 2010. It’s one thing to have a rumor from one source, but to have it corroborated by another source in such a short time frame makes me believe that this is probably happening now! Assuming the release date is a fairly accurate, I’m assuming there may be some discussion of it at E3.

UPDATE: The website also lists in the description 1-6 players, meaning it probably has harmonies similar to the newer titles, as well as lists it as “(Game Only).” Could we possibly be seeing some sort of bundle with this game, unlike Green Day and LEGO?

[Big thanks to @HeyRiles!]
