DLC for Week of 6/30

foreigner
The Rock Band Community Zine was issued earlier this afternoon, with tomorrow’s DLC announcement coming a little early.  Looks like for next week we’ve got some old, a Foreigner 3 pack, and some new, Vans Warped Tour 3 pack and a track from Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Check it out:

  • Foreigner – Blue Morning Blue Day
  • Foreigner – Feels Like the First Time
  • Foreigner – Headknocker
  • Black Rebel Motorcycle Club – Weapon of Choice
  • Dear and the Headlights – Sweet Talk
  • The Devil Wears Prada – Hey John, What’s Your Name Again?
  • Thrice – Image of the Invisible

For those not yet on the Community Zine (for shame, sign up here), check it out below (via @S1ckH4nds since mine hasn’t arrived yet… check that just got it now).

It also notes that you may be able to actually play Rock Band with some of the Vans Warped Tour artists! I really want to play with Bad Religion!!!

Frame by Frame Analysis of TB:RB Cinematic

framebyframe

The folks at Gamervision sat down with I can only assume some Beatles experts to analyze the opening cinematic to The Beatles: Rock Band to see what additional information they could divulge. And boy did they. I felt like Sherlock Holmes when I was able to pull some song titles from the posters in the beginning, but these guys took it to the next level. Check out the video below, followed by the songs they find references to in the cinematic (which hopefully will be appearing in the game).

Rock Band Supergroup: Approaching the Unreal

Approaching the Unreal

Check this out… Ryan from RockBandParts.com helped put together one of the most epic line ups ever for Rock Band, called Approaching the Unreal. If you watched a video of someone FC’ing songs you can’t even complete, then they are probably in this band. I don’t want to steal a whole lot of their thunder, so go check out their site at www.ATUBand.com.

Eleanor Rigby in TB:RB?

Eleanor Rigby?

According to some of the wording in this picture, it sure looks that way. Taken by John Dentinger from the latest Game Informer Official Xbox Magazine, August 2009 issue. I would keep it in the rumor category for now, but this one definitely makes sense.

UPDATE: Others were quick to point out, and if I can recall correctly, the song is mostly vocals and violins, so this would be a difficult song to chart for the game, albeit a popular one. There’s only a finite number of Beatles songs (unless you start pulling in solo and side projects… no Wings, please), so I would understand a song or two like this in there, especially if there is good vocal harmonizing.

New Songs on RB: Metal Track Pack?

nazareth1

According to some sleuthing on the Rock Band message boards, it looks like someone has been able to find some references to new songs not currently listed as DLC via the Xbox 360 achievements on the Rock Band Metal Pack disc. A French site appears to be listing all the achievements for the still unreleased game. Chalk it up as a rumor for now until it is confirmed, but I can’t wait to get my hands on this one! The (potential) new tracks are listed below, but check out the links above to see the rumored rest of the songs from the game, as well as the possible achievements:

  • Motorhead – Killed by Death
  • Hawkwind – Master of the Universe
  • Blue Oyster Cult – Transmaniacon MC
  • Nazareth – Hair of the Dog
