Not sure if this was supposed to be a secret or not, but it looks like an article in Billboard magazine spilled the beans on Pearl Jam’s next major DLC offering for Rock Band. It appears that Pearl Jam’s next album, “Backspacer,” will be released as DLC the same day as it is released on CD, September 20, 2009! Better yet, it also looks like if you purchase a special edition of the album at Target, the DLC will be free!

The article also mentions that, according to sources at MTV Games, Pearl Jam’s Ten DLC had about 850,000 downloads!   They also give a little more weight to the Pearl Jam-specific game “that could hit stores in 2010.”
