Seems really good overall. I’ve already added some to my queue.
    Thanks for the videos!

I might have to get some of these for their guitar charts…I did NOT see that coming at all.

I’m really liking these re-recordings, I’m definitely picking up a few of these now.

  • KEWB says:

I like that they did some rock remixes, as some of the community sort of predicted, but I’m a little disappointed though, the guitar’s tone sounds pretty bad in the rock remixes. Not a huge problem though, just a minor gripe. Still getting them, they’ll still be fun.

  • Snap Wilson says:

Ah, much better remixes than the original tracks and yet it’s still pretty generic “rock background.” I’ll still have to think about whether or not I’ll get them.

So much for the original master recordings, eh? Guess RBA just got some bad info. It happens. Which is a re-recorded way of saying another popular saying that includes “happens” (and “it”… technically).

I just sang “What’s My Name” (expert, 97%, 5*, nothing special) and I didn’t mind most of the changes, where harsh words were swapped for more family-friendly fare, though I could have done without the first line or two, which were tacked on for no good reason. And I noticed, I could have sworn Dr. Dre sang on the original song, but his lines were nowhere to be seen. I guess Dre wants no part of either Rockband, or changing words to appease a family-friendly game, probably the latter. (I hope to sing “Dre Day” in Rockband at some point.)

If -I- got some bad info, take it up with Harmonix. It’s pulled directly from their press release: http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=199935

I don’t think original master recordings means what you think it means.

This guy here knows what he’s talking about.

Dr. Dre appeared on the radio edit and in the music video. He was one of the first rappers who self-censored themselves to gain more radio play, such as ‘Nuthin’ but a G Thang’ and ‘The Next Episode’

Oh wow, those are better than the originals IMHO! I’m buying a bunch, never saw that coming!!! :-D
