Rock Band 3 Xbox 360 Avatar Items Now Available!
It looks like Rock Band 3 will be bringing Xbox 360 Avatar items with it for purchase. Why? Because they are available on Xbox Live right now! The full list of items available for purchase is below (with links on each price). There are currently no screenshots for the items, but you should be able to deduce what they approximately look like based on your knowledge of in-game Rock Band clothing and Xbox Live Avatar styles. Nah it’s not your fault. Avatar items normally have pictures on xbox.com.

Tell me about it. I want that mic, but for that price my wife will never let me hear the end of it. lol
I’ll be buying the guitar… when I get home. At work right now. :-p
Not sure about the clothing options, but I think I can find $3 to spend on a frivolous guitar controller for my avatar. If I can get a good quality picture and/or video, I’ll be sure to send it your way.

Thanks! Yeah, I purchased the guitar right away, too, but haven’t had a chance to load up my Xbox to check it out yet. Want to see the other items before purchasing.
So are the MTV VMAs going to factor into the career mode somehow? Does that indicate actually making videos? Or is this just corporate synergy at work, advertising the VMAs on whatever property MTV’s got?

I heard these were the RB instruments intead of the “real” thing. So I will have to check out the animations. If they’re good I could see myself with a mic or keyboard.
…Though I WAS saving up for a WWE Championship Belt for my Avatar!
Never before have I been this tempted to spend money on my avatar. I was seriously considering getting the lawless pauldrons outfit, but I think I’m just going to wait and get my free RB tshirt awards.

Instruments are horrible
I would buy these ones:
- Guitars: Guitar Hero guitars
- Bass: Scott Pilgrim bass
- Drums: The Muppets
- Microphone: Band Hero or even better, Lips mic, cheaper too.
I probably will never understand the appeal of spending actual money to dress up an avatar. Nuts, all of you!
Perhaps I would consider it for 10 points a piece, but at 80 – 400 MS points, I cannot justify it all. I’d rather spend it on new instruments and songs for in the game (or new instruments/clothing for use in game, if anything).
What, no guitar clicking noise?
I really like the detail on the instruments, but those animations..? Especially with the guitar, it makes your avatar look like a complete douche. Like that guy who shows up and can’t keep his grubby mitts off of anything that’s not locked up. His hand is even completely missing both sets of fret buttons.
I just got a promotional e-mail saying the Moonman prop is available for a limited time. No mention of the outfit.
Somehow I think I’ll be able to resist, and hold on to my $3.
