  • Jason says:

Disturbed is terrible…Way too many of their songs in Rock Band.

    RockBandAide Reply:

This will bring their total catalog of songs in Rock Band to 12. They’re still outnumbered by:

    Green Day
    Pearl Jam
    Foo Fighters
    No Doubt
    Judas Priest
    Red Hot Chili Peppers
    The Grateful Dead
    AC/DC
The Main Drag (RBN inclusive, obviously)
    Megadeth
    The Who
    Spinal Tap
    Pixies
    Nirvana
    Guns N’ Roses
    Iron Maiden
    Rush
    Creedence Clearwater Revival
    The Jimi Hendrix Experience
    Mötley Crüe

Their songs make up .7% of the total catalog, and there’s still 1,806 songs that are NOT Disturbed.

I think you’re going to be fine.

    MCA Reply:

That’s still WAY too many songs from that band. Someone has to tell HMX enough already.

    Cameron Reply:

Oh please, Disturbed songs have some amazing drum and guitar parts. Quit hating.

    Keep ‘em coming Harmonix!

    skydog Reply:

The last pack was NOT awesome.
Doesn’t mean this one won’t be though. ;]

    MCA Reply:

Well for someone who primarily sings on RB there not my cup of tea. Don’t care for the Nu Metal, and I’ll hate if I want to;)

    skydog Reply:

I’m with you MCA on the singing side of them especially.. it’s awful and quite boring IMO.

    James! Reply:

You know, I actually did a count once. The average number of songs per band in Rock Band is less than 3. RBN lowers it further.

    Also, Asylum sounds pretty awesome.

    RockBandAide Reply:

Not counting the RBN, it works out to about 2.82 songs per artist in Rock Band. RBN included pushes it down to 2.33.

    James! Reply:

Exactly. So unless someone wants to say that any band/artist with anything more than a 3 pack has too many songs, than any argument about “too many songs” is invalid.

    killer_roach Reply:

Except in the case of Green Day. That’s special circumstances there. :)

    James! Reply:

^ Same with The Beatles. And even then, Green Day still has six songs that were (oddly) released as regular, weekly DLC.

    Xzyliac Reply:

You guys complain there’s too much Disturbed as if that’s somehow affecting you or as if you’re the only ones playing Rock Band

    argyle Reply:

it does affect them, they don’t get to buy something new to play next week. since when does a person with money to spend not count? people seem to forget that players are consumers.

  • Ryan says:

    SWEET!
    ill get Disturbed and Veer.

  • Arcanon says:

Day one purchase on all these tracks.

Can’t wait to belt out Asylum.

  • Jason R. says:

    A wacka wacka!

Probably Another Way to Die. Pass on the rest.

  • Game!Ov3r says:

AWSOME WEEK! I love Evanesence 2… I mean We Are the Fallen. Seriously though, they are pretty good even though the chick singing is an American Idol alum. You can never go wrong with some Ben Moody. Veer Union is also pretty good.

So next week I will be getting

Seasons, Bury Me Alive, and Another Way to Die.

    skydog Reply:

    What?
Evanescence lead singer WAS NOT on Idol.

    skydog Reply:

Oh nm I get it! :) haha

  • DragoonXD says:

FinallyCrash Kings! No, it’s not 14 Arms, Non Believer, or 1985.

  • regener says:

    Nice.
But i still want Ten Thousand Fists

    killer_roach Reply:

My pick for Disturbed DLC would be the entirety of Believe, but Ten Thousand Fists is a good song (even if it’s probably the band’s weakest album, awesome Genesis cover notwithstanding).

  • chenzo says:

I’m a metal kinda guy, but I generally don’t like playing it on Rock Band…

But… I think this time, I’m gonna make an exception. I do enjoy me some Disturbed.

That Crash Kings song ain’t bad either.

  • Xzyliac says:

Not a big fan of any of these tracks but it’s whatevs.

  • skydog says:

I’m getting the Crash Kings track & the We are The Fallen track (only because it sounds like Evanescence and we haven’t gotten any evanescence in awhile)

    Game!Ov3r Reply:

Thats because it is Evanescence (Fallen Album) minus Amy Lee :)

  • Kirksplosion says:

Looks like a good week for alt-rock / nu metal fans. I get to save money, though. =)

    MCA Reply:

Not me! When the RBN songs go into the store I’m buying at least four tracks. Guess I can say thank you Disturbed:)

  • Whizzer says:

Very likely getting the Disturbed pack (the previous one was awful). Also really liking The Veer Union and We are the Fallen.

  • HavveK says:

Damnit. I read that as We Are the Union and got stoked.

  • The Oreo says:

Wow, every time the guy in the Crash Kings song starts singing lines that start with “I’m”, I’m expecting it to go into My Doorbell by the White Stripes…

Also, anyone else get the feeling Harmonix are releasing all the singles that were GOING to be in the RB3 setlist? The Decemberists, Crash Kings and La Roux all have pretty strong keyboard parts…
