Country Track Pack 2 Coming November 9th?

It appears that the country music DLC rumored to arrive on August 31st is not the Country Track Pack 2, but instead a standalone normal DLC pack (which may or may not be included in the disc-based track pack). According to Amazon.ca, the Country Track Pack 2 is currently slated for a November 9th release. The disc is currently retailing for CDN $29.99 across all consoles (including the PS2).

If the November 9th release is indeed true, I would like to assume that the songs on disc will include Rock Band 3 features, but the existence of a PS2 version puts that into doubt. It could be anyone’s guess as details from Harmonix have been scant at best (besides the E3 poster, that is).

[Thanks Cristoph!]

I would hope that the RB3 features would be included, but won’t be surprised if they aren’t.

Hoping very much that this proves to be true either way though. I have really enjoyed the original tracks, much to my surprise, and will buy this if/when it comes out.

So is it something like Going Country 04 or a Lady Antebellum 01?

  • Socko25 says:

That doesn’t necessarily mean that the rumoured August DLC won’t be included on the disc. The first country disc had songs from two previous released country DLC releases (Going Country 01 & Alt-Country 01).

Good point. I’ll reword it to reflect that. Thanks!

It won’t surprise me if the country DLC are not part of the Country Track Pack 2 disc. They did it with Country Pack 1, Classic Rock and Metal discs.

Perhaps the Track Pack is still built on the RB2 engine, but the downloadable export pack is fully RB3 ready?
