Country Track Pack 2 Coming Out August 31?
While checking out Rock Band 3 and Dance Central at E3 this past June, I noticed an interesting poster in the booth (above) that most people seemed to walk by and not think about. I posted it on the site later that night, and when I asked people at Harmonix for details about the future Country Track Pack, I was unable to get additional details. Thanks to a Country Music Television fan on the RockBand.com forums, it looks like this may be coming on the last day of August. I had assumed that this would be another disc-based track pack, but I’m not so sure that will be the case any longer.
Teon24133 from the RockBand.com forums also noticed a mention of a Lady Antebellum song featured on the televised banner for the track pack. We’ll wait for more details on this from Harmonix, but it looks like we won’t have to wait much longer to get our additional country music fix!

As I said last time, European release please!
Actually, if there is another DLC country pack, it is the 4th one (“Going Country 04″, tentatively).
It would not be unsurprising to have yet another standalone product that includes those tracks and some new country tracks that don’t arrive until after the retail product comes out. Gamefly *was* reporting of this retain product like Nov 9th, so the CMT ads are likely on the smaller DLC pack.

That may be the case. I’m only reporting the rumor I saw on the forums in conjunction with the anticipation of the Country Track Pack 2 “announcement” at E3. If I get more details, I’ll update or put up a new post.
I hope this is another disc-based pack. 21 all new country songs would be great! (Opposed to the mere 10 or so NEW [non-DLC] songs we got on the last disc.) I’d love to see Lady Antebellum, more Miranda Lambert and Dixie Chicks, Garth Brooks, Hank Williams Jr. or Gary Allen… There’s so much potential in country music that Rock Band hasn’t begun to tap yet.
I just wish this were being released AFTER Rock Band 3, just so we’d have harmonies, keys, and pro mode on these tracks…
WHY, oh WHY can’t they start adding these features into the files now (only to be played in RB3?)
lol, I thought this was called ROCK Band.
Am I doing this right?

You forgot to complain about lack of Muse songs too.
I’m still hoping for some Garth Brooks – Friends in Low Places. I love that game.

Unfortunately, Mr. Brooks is vehemently against digital distribution. It will likely never happen, or at least it won’t for a very long time.

Yeah, just like The Beatles and AC/DC

Yeah, I think there should be an entirely on disc (but exportable) track pack called Rock Band: Those Who Hate Digital Distribution Track Pack.
It could definitely work. So many artists are against digital distribution (which is ridiculous.)

Hehehehe that would be so cool and the irony of it would be hilarious. I would buy it solely for that reason, even if I didn’t like any of the songs..
Here is to some Tim McGraw “I Like It, I love it” or “Where the Green Grass Grows”! And since we have little Cyrus on RB how about Daddy Cyrus “Achy Breaky Heart” FTW! More Carrie Underwood, we need “Before He Cheats”! Plus throw in “Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy” and “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” and we have ourselves a solid Track Pack.
And thow in a Muse song while your at it

As long as it’s not the song “Free”
I would LOVE to see a playlist. I would love to see:
Trace Adkins – Honky Tonk Bakdonk
Jason Aldean – Johnny Cash
Gary Allen – Man of Me
John Anderson – Black Sheep
Big & Rich – Save a horse, Ride a Cowboy
Confederate Railroad – Trashy Women
Billy Currington – Why, Why, Why
Joe Diffie – Third Rock from the Sun
Dixie Chicks – There’s Your Trouble
Steve Holy – I Got a Brand New Girlfriend
Hot Apple Pie – Hillbillies
Waylon Jennings – Good hearted Woman
Toby Keith – Get Drunk and Be Somebody
Lady Antebellum – Love Don’t Live here
Miranda Lambert – Kerosene
Little Big Town – Bring It On Home (Great harmony)
Martina McBride – My Baby Loves Me
Brad Paisley/Dolly Parton – Whiskey Lullaby
sawyer brown – Shakin or Step by Step
Sugarland – Down in Mississippi
Aaron Tippin – Kiss This
Trick Pony – Pour me
Travis Tritt – TROUBLE
Carrie Underwood – Before He cheats
Hank Williams Jr – Family Tradition
Gretchen Wilson – Here For the Party
Just my 2 cents worth
I think you got some wires crossed here. Remember how the first country pack came out, then the alt-country pack? Then the Country Track Pack was released, and then the rest of the songs that were exclusive came later? I’m guessing that this is the first batch of songs on the disc, and then they’ll release the Country Track Pack 2, then release the rest of the exclusives. So that Track Pack WON’T be coming out August 31st, just the DLC pack (probably 6 songs)
I have my doubts about this. If it really was coming out at the end of the month, then we should have a full track listing by now. The Metal track pack, for instance, came out in September of last year, but we knew the full track listing at least 2 months prior.
