HUGE Rock Band 3 Setlist Rumor

HUGE rumor, both in terms of validity, as well as potential volume of setlist info. I normally HATE posting rumors where the source is “a friend of a friend told me,” but in this instance, there are a number of HUGE coincidences that have seen the artists confirmed today and elsewhere. Please, take this with a HUGE grain of salt, but here is a partial rumored setlist for Rock Band 3 that was posted on Gamefaqs.com in mid/late June. So with that GIGANTIC disclaimer out of the way, let’s take a look at this Rock Band 3 “friend of a friend” list:

UPDATE: I was able to get in touch with the person who original posted this, and he let me know that not all of these will end up in game, but will instead be available as DLC on launch day. He also claims to have received this from a friend in Canada who had a best friend as a playtester for Rock Band 3.

  • Amy Winehouse – Rehab
  • Anthrax – Caught In A Mosh
  • Avenged Sevenfold – Beast and The Harlot
  • Bob Marley and The Wailers – Get Up, Stand Up
  • David Bowie – Space Oddity
  • Devo – Whip It
  • Faith No More – Midlife Crisis
  • Filter – Hey Man, Nice Shot
  • HIM – Killing Loneliness
  • Marilyn Manson – The Beautiful People
  • Queens Of The Stone Age – No One Knows

  • Buddha says:

    No Amy Whinehouse :\

and I fell out of my chair laughing with Rock Lobster

  • Marc says:

It’s like if you took all the shitty songs from Guitar Hero games, and tried to sell them to the RB crowd, you’d get this.

    I hope this is fake.

    Croq Reply:

Notice to HMX. I guess you guys need to cancel RB3 then… :)

    Matt Reply:

Yeah, I’m unimpressed. I don’t know, the set list just doesn’t appeal to me. I mean there are some decent songs in there, but none that “OMG I WANT TO PLAY THAT NOW!” However, the interface enhancements make it worth it despite the set list-if this rumor is true.

    Yankeesniper57 Reply:

HMX has some tricks up its sleeve. In the other rock band games, they never gave away the big hitters until they release the whole setlist.

  • Croq says:

Some great songs there… I would assume that at least *some* of them are true.

  • The Witticus says:

Space Oddity alone sells me the list. However I hope to god Du Hast is not in game.

  • kunde says:

I don’t know almost any song of that list, but as long as they are fun, I don’t care how famous are

  • kangaroo62 says:

I REALLY hope we don’t get Tegan and Sara or Amy Winehouse.

    QuestionMark Reply:

The only two songs on the list that are exclusively female vocals, eh…

    (elipsis intended to imply sexism)

  • Rock Lobster? My guilty pleasures have been fulfilled. Forever.

This may be true since they do have been announcing these bands on Twitter. Let’s just wait and see.

  • Bishop says:

Loving Space Oddity and Beast and the Harlot. Two great songs.

    Bishop Reply:

Also, my mom’s favorite band is Steve Miller Band, and her fave song by them is Fly Like An Eagle. For her sake, I hope this is true.

  • JODIsBack says:

Tegan and Sara would be a great surprise. And I’m hoping those are really the Tears for Fears and Manson songs.

  • Andy says:

Anthrax – Caught In A Mosh
Avenged Sevenfold – Beast and The Harlot
Marilyn Manson – The Beautiful People
Queens Of The Stone Age – No One Knows
    Rammstein – Du Hast
    Slipknot – Before I Forget
The Police – Don’t Stand So Close To Me

The ones that arouse my curiosity.

The Beautiful People I have wanted for ages and any QotSA is awesome!

  • Hines says:

Ugh. Please tell me this is fake. How many repeat artists do we need?>

    kangaroo62 Reply:

    I can’t agree more.

    comp Reply:

Well, this is a sample of 23 odd tunes. By my count (and it was off the top of my head), 10 of those artists have never been on Rock Band. Considering RB has hundreds of the most popular artists to date, I think that’s quite a feat already.

Some of these bands we haven’t heard from on RB since right after release of Rock Band 1 I believe. Namely, Queens of the Stone Age.

Personally, I would love for this list to be part of the final set. 16 of the songs I would keep without reservation, but none of them really rub me the wrong way.

For the artists that are returning after stints in DLC/disc songs, how can you argue with Fly Like An Eagle? Or I Wanna Be Sedated? This setlist so far is covering a really broad spectrum of classic and new acts over any number of genres, so I really don’t see why people complain (other than the fact that Muse isn’t in it; here’s to you, Muse Guy).

    Hines Reply:

You answered the question yourself. The broader the song selection is, the higher the probability that more songs will be consistently disliked.

    James! Reply:

That was actually one of the main complaints about GH5. I don’t remember exactly who said it, but one reputable source of video game reviews said that the diversity of songs in the game guaranteed that no one would be completely satisfied with the setlist.

Then again, it could be a double-edged sword. I can picture one complaint about Warriors of Rock is that the setlist is too preferential to heavy metal acts.

    comp Reply:

Except this isn’t a case of GH5 where we have Stevie Wonder here. All of these songs are ones that could very easily have come as DLC at any point and very few people would have any complaint about it on the basis of “This isn’t Rock Band enough!”.

    James! Reply:

Except for the fact that, with the keyboards, artists like Stevie Wonder are entirely possible. Actually, a lot of the above songs and those already confirmed wouldn’t have been possible without either the keyboard or charting a keys part to guitar.

Superstition was written as guitar song anyway.

  • Ryan says:

    Space Oddity……..
    Im in love…….

  • MCA says:

Beach Boys! I really do hope so, and The Smiths! *fingers crossed*

  • OMG KILLING LONELINESS FTW
And Du Hast finally some Rammstein :D :D:D I have high hopes for moar like Mein Herz brennt

  • Leezle Pon says:

Ugh, Space Oddity? As much as I love Bowie, did they really have to go with that (assuming this is real)? He’s got so many better songs.

    RockBandAide Reply:

They could have gone with “Ziggy Stardust,” but then you would just have more butthurt Guitar Hero fanboys whining that it was in Guitar Hero already. Move on, already. That argument is older than dirt.

    CommonCriminal Reply:

You act like Bowie only has 2 song to choose from. Space Oddity is much better than Ziggy Stardust. Ziggy Stardust is one of his worst songs. Space Oddity isn’t anywhere near the top of my Bowie must have list…but any Bowie is good IMO.

    chedita Reply:

I don’t know if everyone will agree, but ziggy stardust, rebel rebel, or modern love wouldv’e been a good bowie song.

    Drpepperfan Reply:

Changes. That is the perfect song for RB3 now we have Keyboards.

    James! Reply:

Now you have to wonder why they didn’t go with Ziggy Stardust, since HMX already used it in GH and it hasn’t been reused by Activision/Neversoft.

As much as I love Space Oddity, I can’t imagine it being much fun to play.

    Aw. Reply:

I don’t know about “fun to play” for some instruments, but you can bet your ass it’ll be fun to sing.

So I guess everyone playing a fake plastic instrument will just have to sing along.

Every vocalist should hope that the Winehouse rumor is true. She may be a trainwreck, but that junkie can SING!

  • Reckless says:

I’m hoping Rammstein and Marley are true. Although I’d much prefer Amerika for keys. Or Zwitter, but that’s never gonna make it on.

    RockBandAide Reply:

I like your tastes, sir. Amerika is an AWESOME song!

    CamoTC Reply:

I love Zwitter! This is the first time I’ve seen anyone else mention it. But yeah, never gonna happen knowing what they’re actually saying. :P

  • Elijah says:

Rammstein, Anthrax, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Filter, HIM, Queens of the Stone Age, Avenged Sevenfold, and Tegan and Sara all sound great to me.

  • Fleat says:

These leaks tend to end up being true. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is correct.

Some decent choices, nothing that I’m in love with, but nothing I hate either.

  • Jond76 says:

Tegan and Sara! That I can get behind.

  • DeQ says:

    Rant time.

If this is true, the setlist is shaping up poorly. I’m going to lay 60% of the blame on the keyboard.

It seems like HMX is trying more and more to be diverse but the way they’re going about it just dilutes the series. You can’t be everything to everyone, especially in the main setlist. Rock Band 1 had a very tight setlist in terms of broad appeal and replayable instrument charts. Even the bonus songs appear to have been thoughtfully selected. This is just mush.

Either the person/people who had a big hand in creating the Rock Band 1 setlist are no longer working there or this is just a case of too many cooks spoiling the soup.

    RockBandAide Reply:

John Drake said at E3 that there was no conscious decision made to include songs with keyboard heavy instrumentals. He also said that not all songs on disc have keyboards, so this point is moot (and quite frankly beaten to death).

If you don’t like that songs, that’s fine. Because based on the reactions today, there’s a lot of people that do. And I don’t think ANYONE expects you to love every song on disc (hell, I don’t). That’s an impossible feat.

    DeQ Reply:

Yes I’ve read that too about keyboards and song selection but let me respectufully say it has to factor in when you’re introducing a new peripheral. It wouldn’t make sense not to.

I don’t expect to like every song but I understood the selection decisions in Rock Band 1. I’m actually trying to look at this from a business/gameplay standpoint and not my personal taste. Rock Band 2 missed the mark and I think the steep drop off in players after its release had something to do with that (and there are songs on RB2 I really like that shouldn’t have been included). Rock Band 3 looks like it’ll hit further from the target at this point.

I can’t deny that there are some fantastic choices revealed so far but they’re surrounded by a bigger pool of mediocrity (heavily from the 2000′s) and low energy songs.

    RockBandAide Reply:

True. But when you have a library like Rock Band with a strong emphasis on DLC, you have the option to release Keys-heavy songs in DLC for those that want more of it. I’m sure that more songs than not have Keys, but all John said was that not ALL songs have Keys.

    Tanner Reply:

Well, Dream Theater would be perfect for this game. Mike portnoy is one of the greatest drummers ever, John petrucci is one of the greatest guitarists ever. John myung is one of the greatest bassists ever, and Jordan Rudess is one of the greatest keyboardists out there. Instrumentally, they are perfect for this game. Listen to A Rite of Passage, The Glass Prison, Home, and a lot more. They were built for rock band (not literally).

  • BassFuzz says:

I like the list but my only problem is that I also get most of the Guitar Hero games too, and I already have some of the songs I like, such as Beast and The Harlot, The Beautiful people, No One Knows, Hey man Nice Shot & Du Hast(although I don’t really love that one.) But with Tegan and Sara, Werewolves of London, I wanna Be Sedated, etc. And as for SlipKnot, I know most of it is filled with expletives that “Concerned parents” won’t agree with, but I would love to get something from the first two albums. Point is, though, I’m fine with this, be it true, but I’m still hoping for a little more.

    RockBandAide Reply:

Even if these ALL are true, there’s still another 30 songs that are a complete mystery…

  • David Savage says:

The Smiths <3 It would be awesome if they could get them but somehow I don't think Morrissey would agree to it.

  • chas says:

I was awaiting for some “industrial rock” type songs to be announced (which seems like a given when you add in a keyboard) and I’m happy to see some now. Sure, The Beautiful People and Du Hast are already in GH, but I’m glad to see them in RB as well. Yes, there are much better Rammstein songs than Du Hast, but it’s the main set, you gotta go with stuff people might recognize. I’ll keep my hopes up for more DLC (anything off of Mutter would make me a very happy man).

  • LoopyChew says:

Another thing to consider: the “friend of a friend” was supposedly a beta tester, but there’s the possibility that some of these are DLC and not on-disc. I’m one of those people who are more worried about GH repeats for the sake of the GH series saying, “we already got that.” I’d probably enjoy most of these anyway, as the only GH band title I have is WT.

Also, I’d rather have “Love Shack” on-disc over “Rock Lobster,” myself. :-P

  • Cory Q. says:

Fly like an eagle better be on it, it’s an amazing song for rockband 3.

  • QuestionMark says:

If this list is legit, then I’m stoked. I pointedly don’t buy gh games, so no repeats for me. It seems like a great mix of hits across genres and there are some big deal first time artists: beach boys, smiths, marley… And since I heard about keyboards I’ve been dying to have freaking werewolves of London!

    metallichris71 Reply:

Sweet, someone else has love for Werewolves. That was my most-desired keyboard song as well.

    conner_jr_71 Reply:

Werewolves has been number one on my list as well… epic guitar, piano, and not to mention howling… the perfect song for this game… Please let at least that one be true!

  • kangaroo62 says:

I’m starting to calm down about this setlist. Only 2 artists that I hate isn’t too bad. I’m not gonna believe it yet, cause it could very well be fake.

  • Game!Ov3r says:

I have seen a lot of post everywhere stating that GHWOR is using too many RB songs…well… This almost sounds like it should be Rock “Band Hero”. I love the diversity of this “rumored” setlist, and whould def not have a lot of songs i would dread having to play multiple times during World Tour mode… lets hope this is true and that the last 30 songs are not just indy filler songs.

  • Ash says:

    If this is true.

    GHWOR has much better setlist.

    Croq Reply:

I disagree, but you’re entitled to your opinion.

    Cassie Drake Reply:

I concur… however, most of the GH6 setlist, I already have in RB, so this to me is a moot point. xD

  • Maztuhmind says:

oh god Hey Man, Nice Shot better be a fake. that was easily one of the worst songs i’ve ever played in any music game, ever.

    Ospero Reply:

Unlikely to be fake. Filter have been confirmed over the Twitter hints, and it would be strange (though I wouldn’t put it past HMX) not to use their biggest hit as the on-disc song.

    kangaroo62 Reply:

I thought it was fun :(

    chas Reply:

I enjoyed it as well, although I would love (Can’t You) Like I Do with the keyboard.

    QuestionMark Reply:

I think “Welcome to the Fold” would rock harder than almost anything.

  • cherokeesam says:

There is no such thing as a GH song that “repeats” on RB3.

No matter how many times you may have played Hey Man Nice Shot, or Before I Forget, or Du Hast, or No One Knows, you have NEVER played them on keyboards, with vocal harmonies, or on a stringed guitar.

    Period.

If the rumor holds up, my biggest “HELL YEAH”s go to the Beach Boys, Bob Marley, Filter, Rammstein, Steve Miller, The B-52s, The Smiths, Tears for Fears and Warren Zevon.

Still waiting for news about which Rush track RB3 is getting, though (according to Geddy Lee).

  • chedita says:

some good some bad. Though I still wish it was a better tom petty song choice.

  • skydog says:

I can tell you one thing.. i see some of these fake…
Only Filter, Manson, Foreigner, Avenged, B52 (love shack anyone?), Tears for Fears, and Def Leppard have been confirmed today.. so therefore some of these are just what some gay guy ones (Amy whineshouse can’t be a straight guy!!!)

    Wrathy Reply:

Yeah, a straight guy liking a good female singer, totally unheard of.

    |:

    skydog Reply:

She’s not good.. she’s horrible.. have you heard her live? Probably not…
Not the mention she has nothing to do with ROCK.

    RockBandAide Reply:

Heh… for a guy who claims that you can’t be straight and listen to Amy Winehouse, you sure know a lot about her.

  • toymachine says:

So much win and so many GH repeats :)

Keyboard on The Beautiful People will be awesome \m/

  • HeyRiles says:

I’m willing to bet about 70-80% of those songs are indeed on disc. The report said beta testing, so a few of the songs have probably been demoted from disc to DLC (like a number of DLC songs from RB1/2 releases), but for the most part, most of that list is true

At any rate, all those songs will be in the game, be it disc or DLC

  • Walt D in LV says:

    Great list..
I’d heard The Cure was also making the song list.

Still, B-52′s, Tears for Fears, Def Leppard, Filter, Marilyn Manson.. WoW!

This imaginary list nearly makes up for the complete drought on DLC (DownLoadable Content) there’s been for what seems like months, now.
I used to buy a LOT of Rock Band music, but lately, there isn’t much to buy. I even thought that Rock Band Network would have a lot of smaller, not as popular, bands that I’ve loved over the years, but no. RBN has songs from REALLY small, independent bands. Good music, but not my all-time favorites.

Where are the bands like Adam and the Ants, INXS, and so many others?!

Perhaps with the keyboard addition, many more great bands will become available.

    Walt D in LV

    RockBandAide Reply:

The Cure was already confirmed in the initial batch of Rock Band 3 songs (http://rockbandaide.com/rb3-setlist/).

  • Xzyliac says:

If this list is true I could not be any happier. Seriously.

I can not fathom for the life of me how anyone can not like this list. I know it’s because I have a natural bias leaning toward my own taste and but this has more than a few songs I’ve been asking for since RB1.

Seriously, I will take all of these songs if only for the fact that they could lead to DLC. I don’t care your opinion on soul or blues Amy Winehouse just absolutely makes this list worth clinging blind fatih onto. That’s not even mentioning Rock Lobster, Fly Like An Eagle, Whip It, Hey Man, Nice Shot, Werewolves of London (seriously how the hell could you not be excited for that!?), I Wanna Be Sedated, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, Good Vibrations, Space Oddity, Beautiful People, Get Up, Stand Up, hell I can even stand Before I Forget every once in a while and I hate Slipknot.

    And yes Amerika FTW.

    Hines Reply:

Re: Werewolves of London (seriously how the hell could you not be excited for that!?)

Because it’s a ripoff of sweet home alabama in chord progression AND harmonic rhythm?

    Drpepperfan Reply:

Even if it is a ripoff (which I doubt), it doesn’t really matter, seeing as Werewolves of London is FAR superior to Sweet Home Alabama.

    Hines Reply:

It’s a ripoff (I have a music degree so I do know what I’m talking about).

The piano solo alone on sweet home alabama blows werewolves of london out of the water.

    Drpepperfan Reply:

The Awooooooo’s alone blow Sweet Home Alabama out of the water.

Besides, song which are ripoffs are often some of the best songs, like Smoke on the Water.

    Xzyliac Reply:

It’s a damn shame that none of that factors into it’s awesomeness, eh?

    BunnyRabbit2 Reply:

If this list is true it could make me fail another year of university. This game will become such a time sink it’s unreal.

Some of these songs I have been waiting for since around RB1 same as you and when you add in keys, vocal harmonies and pro mode my mind just about explodes in joy when thinking about it.

  • CloudWolf says:

I saw Amy Winehouse and Anthrax and I was like: Ehhhhh

Then I saw the rest of the list and I was like: Yay

  • Konador says:

Gah, I hate fscking Caught in a Mosh!!
Other than that, can’t wait to get my hands on RB3 :)

  • Nat says:

    wait, uhhh WHERES MUSE?!

    kangaroo62 Reply:

Does this look like a full setlist?

    Koschei903 Reply:

Precisely, more Muse please Harmonix. I mean come on, there’s a keyboard now so stuff like Sunburn would be awesome to play. And there’s such a big want for it over at the Rockband forums. A whole 1200 pages!

  • Tommy says:

I hate those who complaining about “that is already in GH”
If you like GH, go and play that piece of crap then and let those songs finally come to a real music game. Rammstein, slipknot and Avenged sevenfold. YES!

    Game!Ov3r Reply:

I find it funny how when RB people complain about GH using RB songs, but when RB uses GH songs GH still gets bashed

    conner_jr_71 Reply:

to the people who complain about it “already being in Guitar Hero” I always like to mention that it could be worse…. we could have Rock Band songs on this list that is already in Rock Band (i.e. Guitar Hero DLC Free Bird, Sweet Home Alabama, and Killer Queen that was already available to export to Guitar Hero 5 from other Guitar Hero games)

  • metallichris71 says:

My only bummer is I would have preferred Head over Heels for Tears for Fears. DLC hopes!

  • Randy says:

If this is the setlist I’d be pretty upset. Not much that I like on there, it seems very random, like how GH5 was including as many genres as possible. (Amy Whinehouse, Rammstein and Bob Marley)The few metal songs they’ve included in the game are repeats from other games, everyone usually complains about that, but I guess not when it’s on RB. I enjoyed the RB2 setlist way more, but this isn’t official yet, so only time will tell.

  • Lord Mhoram says:

Great addition to the setlist. Of the 23 listed, I love (and own) 14 of them. And most of the others are bands I don’t mind.

If this is true, and with the officially released list RB3 is going to have my favorite on disc setlist of any music game.

  • Daedalus says:

With the 23 songs already announced, it looked C-Grade material, now it looks to be more a D-Grade.

    * Amy Winehouse – Rehab
–Good party hit I suppose, but I have no respect for W(h)inehouse (C-minus)
    * Anthrax – Caught In A Mosh
    –Guitar Hero repeat (D)
    * Avenged Sevenfold – Beast and The Harlot
    –Guitar Hero repeat (D)
    * Bob Marley and The Wailers – Get Up, Stand Up
–Cool we got reggae. Not big into this song, but it’s refreshing (B-)
    * David Bowie – Space Oddity
    –Meh (C)
    * Devo – Whip It
–Terrible Devo choice, and Guitar Hero repeat (D-)
    * Faith No More – Midlife Crisis
–Like it. Look forward to it (B+)
    * Filter – Hey Man, Nice Shot
–Hate Filter, hate it even more seeing it’s a Guitar Hero repeat (F)
    * HIM – Killing Loneliness
    –Ugh (D-)
    * Marilyn Manson – The Beautiful People
–GH repeat + ad nauseum (F)
    * Queens Of The Stone Age – No One Knows

    * Rammstein – Du Hast
–Jesus F***ing Christ. Why Harmonix!!! (F-)
    * Slipknot – Before I Forget
–If we HAD to have Slipknot in the game, could they at least not choose another F***ing repeat!? (F-)
    * Steve Miller Band – Fly Like An Eagle
–Better SMB choices out there, but it will work with keyboards (C+)
    * Tears For Fears – Everybody Wants To Rule The World
–Harmonix gets a cookie for this one. I hope we eventually get “Mad World” soon though. (A)
    * Tegan and Sara – The Con

    * The B52′s – Rock Lobster
–Love The B52′s, hope we get more from them soon (A+)

    * The Police – Don’t Stand So Close To Me
–Don’t like The Police much (C-)
    * The Ramones – I Wanna Be Sedated

    * The Smiths – Stop Me If You’ve Heard This One Before
    –Dislike The Smiths (D)
    * Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers – I Need To Know
–I think we have enough of them (D)
    * Warren Zevon – Werewolves Of London

“You do realize this hasn’t been confirmed yet, right? So you should probably hold off screaming Why Harmonix!! until they confirm it.”

Tears for Fears, Marilyn Manson, Filter, and B-52′s were confirmed with the exact songs presented last I’ve heard, so it feels pretty legit to me.

“(Werewolves of London is superior to Sweet Home Alabama)”

You might as well be saying Kid Rock’s “All Summer Long” is better than the both.

    skydog Reply:

I disagree with most of your opinions
Killing lonliness is actually a good song for the warmup set.
But yet you give Bob marley a b-?.. Bob Marley is a no talent crack head.

    Daedalus Reply:

    skydog

I wasn’t going to argue about the HIM song, but your Bob Marley comment made me lol hard. As one of the fathers of reggae, it is clear your broken ignorance doesn’t know what it is talking about, and most of us can agree with that.

    Hines Reply:

Come on guys…don’t you know it’s possible to be a no-talent crack head AND play music???

    Drpepperfan Reply:

No, I’m not gonna say that it’s better than both, cause it’s shit.

    Drpepperfan Reply:

Oh, and insulting the greatest reggae artist and one of the most influential musicians of all time? That was dumb Skydog.

    RockBandAide Reply:

SLOW DOWN, sir. I’ve got more details about this soon. Some of these will DEFINITELY be DLC, not on-disc songs.

I don’t think there’s something you understand. Harmonix doesn’t give 2 shits if the songs are already in GH. And plus, not everyone buys GH DLC, or GH games anymore. If you ask me, bringing “repeats” over to the other game is just fine. Plus, people would like to see proper charts of certain songs in GH3… like Before I Forget.

    JODI is right. :)

Here are words from somebody who supports both franchises. I own every Rock Band and Guitar Hero game out there, including the portable ones. You probably don’t buy Guitar Hero games, but I do, and it annoys the crap out of me and franchises share each others songs that I have to end up playing again. Rock Band is doing one hell of a job in enraging my balls off, and even though Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock has a few repeats of their own, their setlist is shaping up more to my liking than Rock Band’s.

I Would like to point out, considering most of the repeats are from the Harmonix era of Guitar Hero, saying “not everyone buys GH DLC, or GH games anymore” is a poor argument.

Well of course if you buy both franchises there’s going to be repeats, the problem is that there isn’t an infinite number of songs in the world, so when two seperate companys try to add popular stuff it’s going to overlap, and there’s no stopping that. Besides, if most of the repeats are fom the Harmix days, that’s a good thing surely, as now there will be new instruments for all of them.

You can learn to play these songs on real guitar now, so is it really the same thing? A good bit of these repeated songs have really awesome/ memorable guitar lines. No One Knows, The Beautiful People, Hey Man Nice Shot, Beast and the Harlot, are a few that come to mind with really epic guitar lines that will be fun to play in real life and not just button mashing in a game anymore.

The new features should convince Pink Floyd to use one of their songs in the next game, but I will genuinely be surprised if Duran Duran is not on there.

FYI just like a few people above had mentioned before, these RUMORED songs can be demoted to DLC. A similar incident happened to RB2 before release and those rumored songs in playtesting ended up as dlc for example “All Right Now, “Bad To The Bone”, “Bandages”, “Holiday In Cambodia”,”Nearly Lost You”,”Push It”, “Stop”,and “Suffer”.

So I expect at least 2 or 5 of these songs to be dlc soon after the game releases

*CORRECTION* “Sorrow” by Bad Religion, not “suffer”

A lot of people I know and myself are really excited for Rock Lobster. Beach Boys on the other hand I heard had a lot of their songs converted to stereo sound years ago.
