Friday Followup – CCR
Based on the success of the Miley Cyrus and Nickelback DLC Twitter reaction posts, I think we should be making this a weekly post. For better or for worse, I think it’s a good gut check to see how people are reacting to the DLC announcement. And if the reactions fail as much as Twitter does, it’s still funny to see what people are saying. Here’s a good smattering of Twitter reactions for the Creedence Clearwater Revival DLC announcement…
What does “bleam” mean? Is the some sort of foreign metric that I’m not familiar with? “How many bleams to the gallon will this car get?”
I have a feeling there may be one of them at the bottom of this post…

Whew… Harmonix asked me what Ryan wanted for his birthday… I guessed CCR. I’m happy I got it right!
You think THAT announcement was good?! Just wait until you see what is next week! I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but it rhymes with Mustin Meiber!
It actually only took one week to release CCR since Nickelback. Also, Tuesday July 6th, 2010 has been renamed “Day One.” So let it be written…

Ha… the “Muse fan” returns. Too bad he got the DLC for next week wrong…

Actually, the Muse guy needs to understand that Prog is just…lame. Every Muse song I’ve been subjected to has made me want to stomp kittens.

I disagree. The muse track in rock band is one of the more interesting songs for all parts, guitar, bass, vocals, drums.
I am biased, as I quite like alot of muse songs, because of how epic they are, though I feel that their songs lend themselves very well to rock band. Especially if you like doing vocals/guitar together.
Really hoping they manage to sort out some songs for RB3.
It’s fun to mock people and you do a bit too well…
I would say that there can’t possibly be someone who legitimately whines every time a pack does not contain a Muse song, but alas, this is the Internet.
That last guy has to be kidding. It’s just too ridiculous otherwise.

I’m pretty sure the last Tweet is a joke against the obsessed DLC Muse hounds.
I would like to see Knights of Cydonia in RB, but I’m much more excited about this CCR pack.
It’s a mixed bag. CCR won’t have Pro-mode since it came out before RB3. I’ve waited so long for it why not a few more months to include that FFS.

The Muse guy is called Tommy. The guy who runs RBA is also called Tommy. Coincidence?

I like this Friday Followup. Now how about some kind of DLC roundup on Tuesday or Wednesday so that the early adopters can give the rest of us a quick narrative on the quality of that week’s DLC?

YouTube videos would be cool. I’d really just appreciate it if there were an opportunity to get folks’ impressions and recommendations about songs and full packs.

And that Muse guy needs to start listening to some more music. Although I agree we could do with more Muse, I don’t ask for it every week… just every two or three weeks.

Muse is great!….but a 12 pack of CCR will do just fine.
Love this feature, but now I’m afraid I’m going to get really excited about DLC next week, EXPRESS MY EXCITEMENT IN CAPS LIKE I ALWAYS DO, and show up here looking like an idiot. Oh well, maybe I’d learn something.
Mus my ass!!!!! C.C.R. is the one thats been need since DLC was made possible. Total Rock and Roll!!!!!!!!!!!!! i heard great storys from my pops about CCR before being famous playing on top of the Dam holding back Lake Berryessa in Vacaville,Ca ( home also to Papa Roach, who I went to school with) and I can’t wait to play “Green River” cause its about Putah Creek that comes off that Dam. Its also not far from Miss Shepard’s body that was killed by the Zodiac Killer. Great 60′s legends from my neck of the woods!!!!!!
