DLC for 6/29
No witty repartee today… just some Nickelback DLC for next week…
- Nickelback – Burn It to the Ground
- Nickelback - Figured You Out
- Nickelback - Never Again
- Nickelback - Photograph
- Nickelback - Rockstar
- Nickelback - This Afternoon
I’m REALLY hoping that in my defending of Miley Cyrus as DLC last week that I didn’t say something like “Well, at least it’s not Nickelback.”

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot
Zzzzzzzzzz… it’s been a while uh HMX? Is that you forcing me to buy GD:RB before it gets a better price?
Finally, DLC that isn’t over-charted pop music ;3 Hopefully this will stop all these kids whining for a Nickleback: Rock Band game.
Great. Gonna get this Track pack instead of last week’s DLC.
BLEEEEEEEEEURGH
DO NOT WANT!
Is this really a 6 pack, or just the same song with 6 different names.
miley cyrus and nickelback. I want to cry
I thought it was called ROCK Band, not CANADIAN HACK Band.
(okayiactuallykindalikerockstaralittlebit)
Miley Cyrus and Nickelback. Please, Harmonix – continue to put out DLC that I don’t want until RB3 comes out. I’d rather save as much money as possible.
The question has been raised here several times over the last of whether we’d want old songs recharted or continue to see new songs. After the last few months of DLC, in particular the last couple of weeks, I’m leaning pretty heavily toward the former; especially considering the quality tracks coming from the RBN. But I accept that my opinion is in the severe minority
The ultimate irony here is that the lead of the “rock band is stupid, kids should learn to play real guitars” are being added to Rock Band, BEFORE IT ACTUALLY HELPS YOU LEARN TO PLAY THE GUITAR.
I gotta say, I like Harmonix’s sense of humor.

Good lord, now that you’ve pointed that out, I can’t stop laughing (or grinning like a maniac, which is the most I can actually do at work).

Maybe they understand my point about not releasing the good tracks until after RB3… Next week, Creed…
2 weeks in a row. HMX just hates us at this point.

I can only imagine that it was purely for your benefit, Dylan.
“Yes, yes,” said Alex Rigopulos, his eyes squinted and the undersides of his hands rubbing against one another in his ill-lit office. “Dylan never saw this one coming. Next week, we should continue with our Creed 12-pack…”

I swear to god, if there’s a Creed 12-pack announcement next Friday…
Photograph has to be the most played out song of all time! God I hate Nickelback… I would have put money on us getting new Rush with the release of their video next week.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! That’s absolutely hilarious to me. I know HMX can release whatever they want, and it’s optional content, and blah blah blah, but seriously, they are not doing well for their image with these two weeks XD Now just watch, next week we’re gonna get like… I dunno, a Muse album or something else amazing, and it’s just gonna make us completely forget about this lapse in uhm… good.

I think that would be HILARIOUS! It would be pretty brilliant, actually. Sandwich “crap” between RB3 announcements and Muse DLC.

For this to work, they also need to announce the tracks that will be coming (and specify post RB3), or it will be seen as a shift in strategy.
Funny considering the comments made at the Harmonix panel at last year’s (or was it the year before’s?) PAX.
I think the best way for people who aren’t happy with the current DLC output, could express their outrage in a way that Harmonix (and MTV, who I suspect probably might have some influence on things like the Miley stuff)is to put their money into different DLC. I suggest something from RBN.

It may just be coincidence or due to the disparity in numbers, but since the launch of the RBN I’ve bought several RBN tracks and no “official” tracks.
I actually laughed at this, it’s hilarious! Miley Cyrus, and then
Nickelback!! Genius Harmonix, genius….
Oh, and i’m totally gonna buy Rock Star. What can I say, it’s a good song (their only good one).
C’mon. At least it’s not Justin Bieber! (Hope I don’t eat my words here next week.
)
Well, HMX has announced that the DLC from now until RB3 won’t support pro guitar or harmonies. I say bring on the mediocre stuff while we’re waiting.
I tried to have fun but no, my ears can’t take it.
“I can’t believe I’m singing this”
“This band really makes me laugh”
“I bet this song sounds like another one”
“This song really needs to be dead”
With mere pop tracks such as Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus making it onto Rock Band, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Justin Bieber is the next ‘surprise’ for us.
Baby, baby, baby, baby oooh.
:/

Well, he IS supporting Kinect including the new MTV Games/Harmonix Game Dance Central. *sigh*

But I digress…
Fucks sake, no! What next, more Fallou-No, if I say it, it’ll happen…
Didn’t HMX make the Rock Band Network project codename “Rock Band: Nickelback” so if people found the project somehow they wouldn’t find any interest in it? Also, I remember reading a vow they had that they would never put Nickelback into Rock Band. I’m so confused..
Instead of me complaining I will do one thing. NOT BUY IT. The end
what the fuck is wrong with you guys ?
why so much hate?
there’s been many worst songs before in RB dlc and you’re all complaining on those.
first, nobody force you to buy them!
second, some of you said they like “rockstar”,but they have more rock songs and better than this one.c’mon the first one is far away better!
and third, how can you compare nickelback and miley cyrus?
i really think you’re not really smart doing this.not the same music guys.
so yes,i like some of their songs.and some of those are really rock songs with great solo and riff.
sorry but you have not the exclusive good taste in music!
At least it’s not…

I think you just jinxed us, Riles. We’re screwed next week…
So reverse psychology it is?
At least it’s not another Pantera album!
*waits*
Also, they didn’t include “How You Remind Me”. I wonder if that means it’ll be on RB3?
At least it’s not another full album for The Beatles: Rock Band.
That would be awful.

Uh oh, apparently the winky face didn’t give away the fact that I was kidding.
I would LOVE more albums for that game. The only reason I haven’t played TB:RB in a while is because of the lack of new DLC.
You guys put up the wrong album. Should have put up dark horse instead of all the right reasons. I am dissappoint.
Worst dlc ever… This takes Hautewerk by a mile lololol

Hey, c’mon, that pack had really good songs…boring to play in Rock Band, but good.
From experience the more people complain about DLC, the better it does. I personally just don’t care much for them, not because I’m following some Nickelback trend hating, but other reasons. A girl I used to date played nothing but Nickelback in the car whenever we went somewhere, after so long of being forced to listen to them to make her happy, it just kind of dug away at me and ensured I never wanted to hear them again.
Congrats to those who like this and to everyone else… There’s always next week.
Stop complaining or they’ll release an Abnormality album next week.

At least it would provide us with a challenge!
I don’t hate Nickelback, nor do I like them. To me, this week is a big ball of meh. It could be much better, but it could be much worse.
Did you know that Burn it to the Ground has orange notes on medium bass?
(And it was my cousin playing medium bass, not me before anyone asks
)
