Rock Band 3 Stage Demo from Gamespot
So as you can imagine, and see below, Rock Band 3 is amazing! I got a chance to try out Pro Keys on Easy, and Pro Drums on Expert. Keys is VERY cool, and just like the other instruments, something I can’t wait to get good (well, better) at. Pro Drums has a very familiar feeling, especially since many of you already have the necessary hardware. We already knew that the legacy drum kits from Rock Band 2 and Beatles: Rock Band with the MadCatz cymbal add-ons will get you ready for Rock Band 3. Well, Cena confirmed for us yesterday that Rock Band 3 will indeed allow compatibility with the Ion Drum Rocker, and will work perfectly with Pro mode if you have the included cymbals with it.
I’ve got much more that I’m trying to get caught up on, including a whole bunch of videos (the full Rock Band 3 stage demo from inside the booth is coming), so I’m working to do as much as I can this morning before the show starts. More details to come! In the meantime, check out Gamespot’s video of the Rock Band 3 demo!

Yeah… you gotta find out if lefty-flip works with the cymbals for the drums… (Currently, lefty-flip only flips the DRUMS, not the cymbals, in all versions of RB)
I’d like to know if the stage kit (smoke and lights) will work with RB3. I know it did NOT work with Beatles, haven’t tried it with Green Day yet…

I think you’re right. Mygggo.com tested that, I believe.

The stage kit definitely doesn’t work with Green Day; I tried it last night. I’m having serious doubts that it’ll work with RB3, since the vocalist no longer needs a controller, but I’m reeeeaaallly hoping it works. Hate to see it go to waste.

Aw… I hope the stage kit works with RB3. That would kinda suck. I wonder if it has to do with there being 3 mics now… (Since the kit’s ‘controler’ is the mic controller.)
Comments on the video:
1. Not enough gameplay (I really wanted to see how some of the parts translated to rock band)
2. The people playing suck. (I heard dropped notes all over the place)
3. I really liked the fact that they had ALL of Bohemian Rhapsody in it. (Could have used some more gameplay though.)
Who’s the girl in the blue plaid shirt? I want to marry her.
1. Yes; the cameraperson was infatuated with the middle singer. SO much in fact that they focused on her the during ENTIRE guitar solo when they had nothing to do and all the rest of us wanted to see was chord guitar-play.
2. HMX missed the boat by not hiring Dana Carvey & Mike Meyers to do Wayne & Garth reprise on stage.
3. I’m really bummed that the Squire will cost a FORTUNE when they release it. And I 90% expect that us PS3 players might get hosed altogether on it.
4. Despite all that; I’m still completely stoked
FYI the girl in the black shirt singing is the lead singer from Abnormality and hot damn she’s a beauty! Don’t quote me on that but I think the name sounds familiar to her bands myspace page.
WTF GET THE DAMN CAMERA OFF THE BLACK SHIRT GIRL!!! I wanna see guitar pro mode and keyboarding.
