What Is Harmonix Working On?

In early February, we found out that Harmonix had licensed four tracks that clearly do not fit the usual “Rock Band” formula, and PlasticAxe has found out that Harmonix has licensed the rights to more songs along the same genre lines as the previous tracks.  The four new songs that Harmonix has licensed for usage rights are:

  • Beenie Man – “King Of The Dancehall”
  • Flo-Rida – “Right Round”
  • Jay Sean - “Down”
  • Dem Franchize Boyz – “Lean Wit It Rock Wit It”

These tracks join the four tracks licensed earlier this year:

  • Cascada – “Evacuate The Dance Floor”
  • M.O.P. – “Ante Up”
  • Timbaland feat. Keri Hilson and D.O.E. – “The Way I Are”
  • Trey Songz – “Say Aah”

The older songs I thought were pretty good, and now whenever I think of that Flo-Rida song, I can’t stop thinking about the end of “The Hangover.”  Could these tracks fit in to a revisit to Harmonix’s Frequency and/or Amplitude projects? I guess we’ll have to just wait and see…
