Rolling Stone has confirmed a rumor we’ve heard not too long ago about seeing much more Jimi Hendrix in Rock Band. Coming next week (seriously), Jimi’s full album “Axis: Bold as Love” will be hitting Rock Band as DLC, along with a previously unreleased track “Valleys of Neptune,” which will be the title track from a NEW Jimi Hendrix album. Harmonix has an exclusive agreement with the Hendrix estate to release his other studio albums as DLC in the future, in addition to an inclusion of a Jimi Hendrix in-game avatar, replica instruments, and according to Rolling Stone, potentially a Jimi Hendrix: Rock Band standalone title.

The specific tracks being released include:

• “Wait Until Tomorrow”*
• “Ain’t No Telling”*
• “Little Wing”*
• “If 6 Was 9″*
• “You Got Me Floatin’”*
• “Castles Made of Sand”*

• “Valleys of Neptune”
