Even though it’s just the beginning of March, we learned earlier this morning that Rock Band will be partnering with Cedar Fair to bring Rock Band to amusement parks across North America this summer.

Nine Cedar Fair locations will be visited by the Rock Band, Live tour, starting off at Dorney Park in  Allentown, Pennsylvania on Memorial Day.  And it looks like Canada’s Wonderland in Toronto and “megapark” Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio will be the lucky recipients of summer-long versions.  The tour will basically be allow you and your friends to compete for a chance to perform live on stage with professional tour singers and play guitar, bass, and drums to select Rock Band songs.  (Doesn’t appear that they allow you to sing… hmm.)

UPDATE: However… RWS (entertainment firm) will hold private auditions for the touring show on Thursday, March 4 at Ripley Grier Studios, 520 8th Ave (16th Floor) between 36th and 37th Streets (Press Room: 17B) in New York City.
