DLC for the Week of December 1st
Holy crap… we’re in the home stretch of 2009! Even though Harmonix has (unofficially) reached their goal of 1,000 songs in Rock Band by the end of 2009, by the looks of some of the tracks for next week, they’re not letting up. Here’s what’s in store for us next week.
Xbox 360, PS3, Wii:
- Nirvana – “Come As You Are (Live from MTV Unplugged)”*
- Nirvana – “Lithium (Live at Reading)”
- Nirvana – “Smells Like Teen Spirit”
- Night Ranger – “(You Can Still) Rock in America”*
- Night Ranger – “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me”*
- Night Ranger – “You’re Gonna Hear It From Me”*
* Denotes tracks that are Family Friendly and capable of being played in Lego Rock Band.

OMG the best CD in the World! NEVERMIND! The 3 best songs of Nirvana! ITS A DREAM!
NOOOOOOO! where’s Sister Christian!
Far be it from me to criticize Harmonix, as their DLC output is FABULOUS as compared to GH, but I can’t help but feel that they played catch-up on the Nirvana release, since we are getting two songs that GH has already has, right down to using the same live recording source for Lithium. Kudos on “Come as you are”, though. I love the Unplugged album…..

I’m assuming Activision got some sort of timed exclusivity rights for those songs, because when we got Nevermind on Rock Band (maybe a year and a half ago?) it was missing these three. You know, the three most popular ones on the album…
