Them Crooked Vultures Coming to Rock Band Next Week!
Whoa, another surprise DLC announcement… and this one MUCH better than last week (sorry Spongebob fans). Supergroup ‘Them Crooked Vultures,’ featuring Dave Grohl (you should be familiar with him by now), Josh Homme (from Queens of the Stone Age), and John Paul Jones (yes, that John Paul Jones… from LED ZEPPELIN), will be premiering the track “New Fang” from their self-titled debut album, which is also released on November 17th.
FYI, their entire new album is available for streaming on Youtube. Check out their channel here.
I’m hoping that this bodes well for future DLC from related artists (and I’m not talking about Dave Grohl)…

I actually want to see some more Queens.
I want Led Zep so bad…
I’ll have to give the CD a listen. Hopefully we are one step closer to Led Zep now!
PS by “surprise” do you mean accidently left off or possibly late addition?

Surprise, as in, not announced with the normal weekly DLC announcement.
We will almost certainly be getting this, just for Dave Grohl and and John Paul Jones. I’m sure it’s good just for them, not sure about the other guy.
We are not one step closer to Led Zeppelin because despite what John Paul Jones may think, Jimmy Page still hates music games. Thinks more people should put down the plastic instruments and pick up real ones. What will put us one step closer to Led Zeppelin is more statistics that show that Rock Band and Guitar Hero games encourage people to play. If Dhani Harrison is correct in saying that Rock Band 3 will actively teach people how to play real instruments (claim he made last week, you can find it, at least, on his Wikipedia page), that might be a push that brings more artists on board.

Josh Homme rules! He’s in Queens of the Stone Age and the Eagles of Death Metal.
FYI, you mean the Dhani Harrison/Rock Band 3 story first posted here? http://rockbandaide.com/actually-learn-how-to-play-music-in-rock-band-3/
And as for “not one step closer to Led Zeppelin,” I have a feeling they may be a lot closer than you think…
