Is this still called Rock Band or did they change it to Pop Band? Most Rock Band players want actual rock tracks to play.

    • Mcmax3000 says:

I bet you’d find Rock Band players actually want a variety of songs, not just any one particular genre.

Harmonix has sales, and request data. They know what artists/genres people want.

    • Matticus Maximus says:

They changed it to “We Will Release Whatever the Fuck We Know Will Sell and You Don’t Have to Buy It Band”.

  • Abcde says:

Lately they’ve been pushing too much pop into the game. I can handle 90’s pop like tonic, but I hope they do a Chris Cornell tribute pack of sorts. That’s what I’m waiting for. If people like Lauper and Paramore, that’s cool. It’s just not for me.

  • Skydog says:

And see abc that’s the difference with each individual player, I could careless for a Cornell tribute.

  • Chad says:

As a death metal/grind fan, rock band has been dead since they completely ignored rock band network. That wasn the only real source of fun songs to play. Now we’re at the mercy of today’s top 40 and some old ass pop. Wtf rock band, wtf?

    • Antwon says:

As a person who is pretty indifferent about death metal and/or grind: dude, whatever. I mean, I’d prefer random modern hits and/or less-modern rock I can enjoy with my fiancee than OH YEAH SICK AS BALLS SOLO BUT I CAN MASTER THAT TAPPING PATTERN HELL YEAH songs in a heartbeat. But I don’t pretend that I’m the only set of tastes the market needs to cater to.
