Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” Coming to Rock Band
Still a rumor for now, but looks like an eagle-eyed forum poster at RockBand.com was able to snag a picture from a Rock Band promo on TV that mentioned Nirvana’s genre-defining hit “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” We do now that there are some Nirvana tracks coming our way, so I think this one has got some weight to it. No dates on when to expect the track, but it should be before the end of the year.

Not to prove or disprove this rumour, but the Bleach tracks cover the “Nirvana-before-the-end-of-the-year”. That’s not to say it won’t come, but HMX have already fulfilled their Nirvana promise.

That is an excellent point that I did not consider when I posted. I’m still keeping my fingers crossed, though. If the picture above is valid, which I believe it is, then “Smells Like Teen Spirit” is probably ready for release, as it’s included with other currently released DLC. I’m keeping my fingers crossed on this one!
Just to bring this up, there is a loading screen on disc specifically for Smells Like Teen Spirit. The only other song that hadn’t been released that had a loading screen on disc was No Excuses, and we did wind up getting that, so it’s entirely possible.
I’m happy about this song hopefully releasing but we should’ve had this in the original Nirvana track pack I mean come on.
What’s more odd is the lack of Lithium or Come As You Are, the other two good songs to finish up the album.
