DLC for the Week of November 10th

White Stripes

The 3rd bi-weekly official Rock Band podcast came out tonight (go here to subscribe), and included on every one (so far, that is) is the DLC for next week. Only five tracks were mentioned, so it looks to be a smaller week (which means the following will be larger to make sure we get to the 1,000 tracks by year end). Here’s what we can expect.

Xbox 360, PS3, Wii:

  • White Stripes – Dead Leaves & the Dirty Ground
  • White Stripes – Girl You Have No Faith in Medicine
  • White Stripes – Icky Thump*
  • The Damned – Smash It Up
  • Kasabian – Club Foot

* Denotes SR (Supervision Required) track… i.e. unable to play in Lego: Rock Band

Rock Band Unplugged

  • No Doubt – Excuse Me Mr.
  • Dropkick Murphys – I’m Shipping Up to Boston

I hate that they’re revealing info like this in a podcast. I don’t want to listen to it and I would much rather them go back to announcing new DLC through readable emails or just on Friday mornings like they used to. I don’t want to have to listen to a giant show to get the information.

They are still officially announcing the following week’s DLC on Friday mornings, but now because of the podcast being released late Thursday night, we’re able to get our hands on it a few hours early. Harmonix may push the podcast release back to coincide if a lot of people complain, but if this is a big issue, you could avoid the “spoilers” every other week until the following morning.

@BuckFanana: The DLC announcements have so far been at the very tail end of the show, you could always skip ahead to the last 5 or 6 minutes. The show isn’t all that ‘giant’ compared to other gaming podcasts, if I’m not mistaken it’s usually under 30 minutes.

    I’m psyched for Clubfoot.
