Well, ill definitely pickup Nazareth, Extreme and REO Speedwagon. I’ll need to listen to the other two before making a decision. I’m thinking I probably know them both, just not by name.

It’s funny that a band called “Extreme” would be best known for a song as entirely NOT extreme as “More than Words”.

Hopefully this opens the door for a little more Extreme down the line, like Play With Me, Get the Funk Out, Decadence Dance, Kid Ego, Comfortably Dumb, Hole Hearted, etc. Anyone who only knows them for More Than Words is missing out on a great heavy rock band.

Would love to see “Play With Me” on Rock Band. Never played it on “Rocks the 80s”, but loved it in “Smash Hits”…

You’re right, brain freeze, easy to do, given the weather in the north east. Regardless, they should re-release the REO track with keys, would also be great for Journey’s “Don’t Stop Beleivin’” and all Fleetwood Mac songs. And while we’re discussing that era of Music, I’d love to see Styx’s Paradise Theatre released as an Album

Sometimes, putting songs from different labels into a pack isn’t possible.
Awwww yeah, Tainted Love. I’m considering the rest but I’ll wait on the DLC reviews (they’re great songs but the video preview doesn’t look promising).
I’m liking this new release schedule!!! I will be downloading all…5 songs (huh?)
Hopefully we eventually get Time for me to Fly too since we have the other two big ones from them.

I had to google that song to know which band you were referring to. If any “big one” from REO Speedwagon is still missing after next Tuesday, it’s “Can’t Fight This Feeling”.
Now just a few more songs and I got everything from “Rock of Ages”, but one of those is a Guns N Roses song so my list may go incomplete.
Gotta say, I’m pretty psyched about this entire pack….HMX has done it again!
Although with a couple changes: Would’ve went w/ Hole Hearted and Can’t Fight This Feeling….but hey….the song choices were still outstanding in their own right…..
All 5 will join my extensive library….
And once again, kudos HMX…you still know how to make me say “just take my money already”

It’s OK, though, Can’t Fight This Feeling and Keep On Loving You are the exact same song. Just sing the other lyrics.

Oh man, Can’t Fight This Feeling has to be one of the worst-written song ever. But I love it.
I’m glad I haven’t played Rock Band at all in the last 3 to 4 months or this would have made me throw up.
Meh! Maybe Soft Cell that’s it.
Getting “Keep On Loving You” and “Glory of Love”. If it were the original version of “Love Hurts”, I’d pass on it, but since it’s a rerecording, I’ll have to listen to it on Tuesday to make a decision.
Love songs from 20-30 years ago are not my thing at all. Let’s not get carried away with thinking large packs are making a comeback. Next new DLC should be rather tepid.

Definitely getting “Tainted Love” and “More Than Words” too. That Nazareth song’s chorus grates my ears a bit, and the Peter Cetera song doesn’t seem the most party-friendly. We’ll see.

Love these songs! Was just thinking that Love Hurts and More Than Words needed to be in this game.
Not familiar with Peter Cetera by name, I’ll have to check up on that one.

He was the original lead singer of Chicago. Definitely check out the song, if you didn’t know the artist you’d think it WAS Chicago, the sound is identical.

Awesome releases! Picking up all but Cetera. Harmonix, keep releasing all this gold… my money is yours. Aerosmith 2 weeks ago and now this… I haven’t been this pumped for DLC in a long, long time.
I’m a little surprised at the lack of excitement for Glory of Love. It’s the theme from Karate Kid 2, for God’s sake. I’m kinda embarrassed by how much I love that song…is it just me?

Huh. Any takers as to whether “More Than Words” has two or three “No Part” listings? I listened to the song just now; I can’t hear any bass, “drums” is limited to what sounds like striking the guitar (similar to the Rodrigo y Gabriela tracks we have), and no keys either. If this does get a drum part, it might be the most boring one this side of “Polly”.
Anyway, five out of five for me. If switching to a schedule of biweekly new releases is what it takes to get songs like these again, I’m all for it.

Appears to be only 2 parts. HMXHenry posted that part of the reason that they’re tossing in pro guitar for free is that he believes that it’s only the 2 parts (guitar and voice).
And if you watch this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrIiLvg58SY), at the beginning, you clearly see the drummer put his sticks down and get up and walk away…

Free pro guitar upgrade is nice, although it is a song with just vocals and guitar so from a gameplay standpoint It might not have been worth a $2 price tag for some people otherwise. Regardless though it’s a pretty sweet song. Not familiar with the others but I’ll check them out.

These will probably be the best selling DLC ever!!!! I could never understand why HMX avoids putting out ballads. They are what everyone asks for when I have parties. This is a great week!!! I will be buying them all!!!!!
Awesome – as always! The first duets pack still gets some of the most playtime at our place and I guarantee this one will too. Love it!
Keep On Loving You is a definite must.
I feel like I have heard the other tracks at one point in my life or another, but I don’t recognize the titles. :X
love hurts is a re-record and it’s awful by the way (the re-record not the song). Also how come you guys don’t post the preview videos anymore?

As far as I know, the site admin has to post those, and he’s been busy the past little while, so either myself, or Osaga has been doing the DLC announcement, hence the lack of video.

Yeah, this is my bad. Things have been pretty crazy outside of RBA lately, and I’ve been AFK on Fridays, but that should be done this week. I’m going to try to get caught up on putting the preview videos (if they exist) on YouTube and embedding them in the posts today.
Nothing for me at the time. I may pick up Tainted Love at a later time.
