Rock Band Blitz Tournaments!
Get ready everyone, because Rock Band Blitz tournaments are coming soon! Every Thursday for the next ten weeks a new tournament is taking place. In order to participate, just opt-in on Rock Band World, and then play the song on Blitz! Similar to Score Wars, you can play the song as many times as you see fit, only the top score is recorded. First and Second place win prizes, along with three random people who played! So just because you didn’t win (or place second), don’t worry, because you might still win a prize! Prizes include free DLC, as well as many other great prizes!

Also, because of the tournaments, as some of you may have noticed, Flame Notes have suffered a drastic nerf (they used to be worth 1500, but now they’re only worth 350). This is to ensure that tournaments aren’t just being dominated by one powerup load out, and to make sure that these tournaments are fair for everyone!

Yeah, that one loadout that just by coincidence required lots of skill and some luck. Thanks. There’s nerfing, and then there’s completley nullifying something to the effect of “you might as well have removed it from the game”. Wtf.
2) Too many Rock Band World features, not enough features in the game. I play games with people on my friends list. Even if I still had a Facebook account, no one on it played these games, let alone for this long.
Harmonix, why do you not want me to play your games anymore?

Difficult songs may require skill, but there are many songs, especially slow ones and songs missing one or more instrument tracks, that are incredibly easy to score high on.

I hope they reset Flame Notes to 1500 points after the tournaments end. Bandmate + Flame Notes was a fun power-up for most players, but now even a really good run is barely enough to get 5 stars. Jackpot + Flame Notes was much too hard for me to pull off, but it was worth insane points and should be because of how difficult it is. Stuff that requires little to no skill, like Point Doubler + Blast Notes, is now more powerful than Bandmate/Jackpot + Flame Notes.
With Flame Notes nerfed, Runaway Notes requiring way too much effort for too few points, and Pinball being kind of a gimmick (it is not tied to the music in any way), Blast Notes is now the only useful purple note, and even that is really only ideal for high-density songs.

Frankly I just wish since theyre not coming out w/ a new RB soon that instead of this they’d patch the heck out of RB3 so that I can add new bands to my gamertag to give Road Challenges some replay value….I still can’t believe they took that ability out of 3.
Unfortunately Blitz got really stale really quickly.
