Is This Next Week’s DLC? (UPDATE: FAKE)
It has been known to happen before, that future DLC somehow accidentally gets momentarily put on one of the console’s online marketplaces, and if this picture is to be believed, it has happened again. Looks like RBA reader Bosco sent us this image while firing up Rock Band 3 on the Wii. Feel free to click on the picture above for a slightly larger version.
We have no way to corroborate the validity of this picture, so take it for what it’s worth, but if it’s legit, then the following singles will be available for Rock Band next week:
- Blue Oyster Cult – Burnin’ for You
- Carole King – I Feel The Earth Move
- Hum – Stars

Funny as I was listening to “Stars” yesterday during my drive to work and thinking how it is a perfect candidate for RB. Great parts all the way around on that track, just fun stuff.

The unpatched version of RB3 has a LOT of glitches. For Xbox/PS3, it “had” a lot of glitches. But for Wii, that statement is still in present tense.

Carol king is awful IMO. and so is HUM (whom is a local group from the 90s)

Well, I would have preferred the Martika version simply because I actually know that version and I love the 80′s, but I understand wanting to use the original. I’ll give it a listen, along with Burnin’ for You.
By the way, calling right now that Burnin’ for You will get the Pro Upgrade this week. Wasn’t it one of the songs that was considered for RB3?
If true definitely grabbing Stars. That song is part of my Summer of 1995 soundtrack, so many memories.
Also, with PAX this weekend could we be getting an early announcement tomorrow on the DLC like they sometimes do when there are cons, hence them uploading them today?
Burnin For You with a full pro chart would be an insta-buy.

Never heard of Stars*, but the other two (especially if it were the Original Carol King) would be fantastic. A couple of great song on vocals, and Burnin’ for You is one of my favorite BOC songs (I’d love to see that whole album).
* after youtubing it, is isn’t bad.

Dang it. I’m probably the only person on the planet to think this, but I was really hoping for Roxette’s “Stars” when I saw that song title. Not that I really believed that, mind you, but I can dream, can’t I?

Another song off the GH:WoR setlist if this is true. Also, Carole King should be fun on everything.
I don’t know Stars but I listened to it on Youtube and it sounds good. Might get all of this if this does happen.
I’m excited about all of them, really. BOC is awesome. That Carole King song is great. And the Hum song is incredible. I had a friend who loved ‘em and I really like that song, but who else had ever heard of them? It’s a nice surprise.

Can’t you see? Potentially never! I’ve gotten over that and just root for the success of Blitz on other platforms in hopes that it comes to a Nintendo console where the full game and songs can be experienced.
Unfortunately this probably means it will be some time before a full BÖC pack..

Yeah, I guess with creating “fake” DLC you’d pick something obscure really, cause of its something like Zeppelin everyone would say “no way too big of an artist to be real” so I guess if you were going to fake something and have it be believable youd pick something obscure to where on the flip side everyone says “that’s too obscure to be fake”
It’d be funny if Bosco was double-trolling us by saying it’s fake when it’s actually real. /shamelessoptimism
