Iron Maiden Track Also Appearing in Rock Band Blitz
A few people from Harmonix had been teasing earlier this week that today’s Harmonix Podcast would be teasing something related to Rock Band Blitz, and after listening to the entire episode, towards the end they announce that one song from next week’s DLC artist Iron Maiden will also be appearing in the forthcoming Rock Band Blitz. When pressed further about what specific song might be appearing, Nick Chester commented that he couldn’t say, earning the wrath of many a child listening.

The only few songs left that I could think of it being is uh…
Wrathchild or or Be Quick of Be Dead or The Evil that Men Do for an old song, El Dorado, Different World, or Wildest Dreams for a new one

“El Dorado” basically *starts* with a Big Rock Ending. I wonder if you could have a song start with a Big Rock Ending, then you need to FC the entire song to get the BRE bonus!
As far as 21st Century Maiden goes, I would vote for “Paschendale” or “When the Wild Wind Blows” if we can get another epic. For shorter, more straight forward songs, I like “The Wicker Man” or the title track from “The Final Frontier”.

As a side note, if anobody ever gets Sambomaster for RBN, then “Asa” needs to happen for this very reason. There’s one at the beginning, one halfway through, and a BRE to end the 8 minute song.

Ive been waiting for I Ran, Lonely is the Night and Bathroom Wall forever. Seventeen would also be awesome to have back. GH80s was my favorite setlist of any of the GHs, Narrowly beating out my love of GH2.
I hope Blitz can be an excuse to get another big song from artists we have but probably wont get another 3 pack from. I want Stop by Jane’s Addiction back SOOOO bad . (Personally, Id kill for a Jane’s 3 pack of Stop, Three Days, and Whores, but thats probably asking too much)

The answer is ZERO. Rock Band Blitz has all NEW songs, as the game instantly exports to Rock Band 3 when purchased.

I think what he means to ask is “How many songs in Rock Band Blitz will be from artists we recently got DLC for?”
It happened quite a few times with Rock Band 3. We got track packs from STP, Hendrix, T. Rex, Doobie Brothers, Anthrax, Bob Marley, A7X, Juanes, The Vines, and Ozzy in the four months before RB3 launched, and we got a single from Blondie.

Probably a lot. I’m sure these licensing discussions are concurrent, so it makes sense to ask for a couple of things for regular DLC and Blitz all at once.
I’m sort of hoping it’s a newer song. The title track off of “The Final Frontier” seems like a fun song to play.

RockBand.com is blocked here at work! Are the “wrath” and “child” quips all yours, RBA, or were Harmonix doing it during the podcast? I am not sure if your joke is just speculation or if HMX plans on making Wrathchild-in-Rock-Band-Blitz the worst kept secret since the 2112 DLC!

With the recent Phantom of the Opera tune announced, I have hope that they can get the original Di’Anno version of Wrathchild. It’s a badass tune, man.
MAIDEN MAIDEN!!! I cant wait to see them for the 5th time or so in Jones Beach! I can’t wait for tuesdays DLC!! \m/

I’m betting on Wrathchild but hoping…foolishly, perhaps…for something newer. The masses must be shown that Iron Maiden did not stop making great music in 1988.
So it seems to me that the blitz setlist is going to have at least one song for everyone… Im waiting for a backstreet boys song to be announced LMAO

Would be happy for a release date for Blitz. Wrath child is ok but would prefer bring your daughter to the slaughter or the evil that men do.
