Friday DLC Giveaway: Billy Joel Piano Challenge Pack

It seems like it has been awhile since we’ve given stuff away here on the site, so thanks to Harmonix, we’ve recently fallen in to a nice little cache of DLC codes for the Xbox 360 from the past year that we want to help give out. We’ll try to giveaway a different DLC pack each Friday until our stash runs out. First up is the Billy Joel Piano Challenge pack from last March. The songs included are…
- I Go to Extremes
- Miami 2017 (Seen the Lights Go Out on Broadway)
- My Life
- Prelude/Angry Young Man *
- Scenes from an Italian Restaurant
- She’s Always a Woman
If this is something that you want to try and win, entry is simple. All you have to do is post a comment below that includes your favorite Rock Band song that has a keys/piano chart. Standard rules apply: one entry per household only, Xbox 360 only, codes are redeemable worldwide (as far as I know). Please include a valid email address (or Twitter account if you don’t want to take off your tin foil hat) with each entry so we can contact the winners.
We’ll let this run through the weekend so everyone has a chance to enter and randomly choose a winner sometime on Monday afternoon (Central time). And since we ALSO have a number of 160 MSP codes, we’ll even randomly give out a “consolation gift” to one entrant, as well!
Good luck!
UPDATE: The contest is now over. Congratulations to Simon for winning the Billy Joel DLC, and Evan for winning the 160 MSP code! Another DLC contest coming on Friday!

Runaway by Bon Jovi. Easily the most awesome keys part ever.
Paradise by the Dashboard Light is pretty amazing
Hard decision but I would have to go with Subdivisions by Rush because it’s amazing on every instrument.
“Living Dead Girl” by Rob Zombie, because it’s the hardest song I’ve FCed on Pro Keys.
I really enjoy B.o.B’s ‘Airplanes’ on the keys. It’s not TOO hard for us folks who aren’t super hot at the keys
“You Will Leave a Mark” by A Silent Film. It’s pretty classy, and full of arpeggios.

I forgot about this one! Definitely worth giving a listen!
The Scientist by Coldplay.
Been loving Billy Joel as of late. Constant Spotify of his songs. My favorite keys song would have to be Cold as Ice. Just love the zig zags.
Linkin Park – In the End, the first song that actually enjoyed playing keys.
Blue Monday always makes me feel less blue.
Not the greatest at Pro Keys (pretty damn bad)
But Imagine John Lennon was the first song i was able to beat on Expert Pro Keys
Still one of my faves to play.
Also Rock Lobster
Yes I have DLC songs, but i pick them in favor of their Drums not Keys.
I have to say Subdivisions, it’s simple with some tricky soloing moments. The sound the song gives off though through keys is just mesmerising; especially during said solo moments. Playing it always puts a smile on my face & gets the adrenaline pumping!
The keys aren’t too difficult but I really love Weezer’s Perfect Situation
Piano Man. Yeah, it’s a hoary old classic, but it’s wicked fun at parties.
For me it’ll be In the End by Linkin Park. First song i tried on keys, a great experience it was.
Touch me or clocks
During Hastings by Rammstein
Runaway by Bon Jovi.
Clocks
A-Ha’s classic tune “Take On Me”
Rock Lobster! HELL YEAH!
Take on Me by A-Ha. Not only great on piano, but also a great song all around.
Definitely “You’re My Best Friend” by Queen. I had to learn it for my girlfriend using Rock Band because I STILL can’t read music. It was awesome for the both of us
“Everybody Wants to Rule the World – Tears for Fears” I have listen this song since i wear diapers i love the song
gotta say “I Will Possess Your Heart” by Death Cab for Cutie
Smoke On The Water – Deep Purple
Jon Lord is a legend.
Piano Man – Billy Joel
Huey Lewis & The News – The Power of Love
Can’t get enough of this song.
Kinda partial to “Imagine”. Great to sing and play keys.
Everyone wants to rule the world
crawling by linkin park
as someone with no piano skills easy songs give me confidence
My favorite keys song would have to be “Clocks” by Coldplay. I love playing this on both regular and pro-keys as it is not too hard, but it is very satisfying playing. I can’t afford to buy to much DLC, but when the Coldplay pack was announced, I instantly purchased Microsoft points
Favorite: Working for the Weekend
Runner ups:
- Me and Bobby McGee
- Runnaway
- Mr Crowley (just for the intro)
- Piano Man
my favorite is werewolves of London
Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeebird, yeah.

Just like heaven – the cure
“Runaway” by Bon Jovi, easily.
“Just Like Heaven” by the Cure
A Little Respect by Erasure for me
Killer Queen! Cause it’s the song I’ve learned on Expert Pro Keys… well, the intro… and sort of badly… but anyways.
Clocks by Coldplay is fun.
Radar Love. Even though I failed it so many times….
Everybody wants to rule the world – Love the 80′s!
Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting)
Elton John rules!
a ha – take on me
this song makes me happy
Gotta be Rock Lobster for me, a song I can do well on expert on!
Paradise by the Dashboard Light
