I tried the demo of the new Nevermore (“The Obsidian Conspiracy”) last night on guitar. Oh my God. Forget about Expert, I fail out of the demo on Hard! I loved last week’s Nevermore, but I am passing on this one. Maybe in a year or so I will give it another try and see if I have improved enough to play it. In the meantime, I will stick to easy stuff like “Painkiller” and “Through the Fire and Flames”. :-)

It is a great song, though, and I am sure it will be a big hit with those who love a challenge.

My wife is loving these Christina Marie Magenta tracks on keys.

This Ultra Saturday track is particularly AMAZING on Bass.

Boy, that song by A Talking Fish sure sounds awesome……

I did see that on the Rock Band forums and right then and there I decided I will buy it just for the harmonies… but sadly my Xbox live is still suspended (been this way since Mid September)

Ultra Saturday has been one of my favorite RBN discoveries. I have a sneaking suspicion they compose their stuff with an eye toward how fun it will be in Rock Band.

Highly recommended if you like Blink-182 or similar.

You would be correct! We’ve been Rock Band players from the beginning. We took the chance to challenge ourselves. We wanted try and bring some credibility to Pop-Punk which usually isn’t know for being instrumentally difficult or even exciting to play.

    QuestionMark Reply:

Yeah, I already read a bit on your back story. :) what I was intimating was that I have a feeling you guys write your music with Rock Band specifically in mind, in order to take the best advantage of RBN and make it as fun as possible on the platform.

I’m only lukewarm towards metal and don’t usually buy DLC specifically to break my strumbar (or fingers). But…Fallen Angel sounds kinda awesome.
