DLC for 12/6

Earlier this week, if you follow @HMXHenry on Twitter, he teased us by saying “At the risk of tipping my hand, next week’s @RockBand DLC will bring my MOST WANTED SONG OF ALL TIME to the library. Pretty excited.” Late last night, he spilled the beans somewhat in that we will be seeing a nine-pack from QUEEN! With the announcement coming out moments ago, the songs available next week are:
- Queen – Bicycle Race *
- Queen – Don’t Stop Me Now
- Queen – I’m in Love With My Car
- Queen – Long Away
- Queen – Radio Ga Ga
- Queen – Seven Seas of Rhye
- Queen – The Show Must Go On
- Queen – Stone Cold Crazy *
- Queen – You’re My Best Friend
* Denotes Pro-Guitar/Bass chart availability for $.99.
The “Queen Extravaganza Pack 02″ will be 1,200 MSP ($14.99).

This just made my morning
Holy crap. Awesome.
You’ve got the wrong Seven Seas of Rhye in the music player. That’s the version from Queen I, Queen II’s version (and the one from their Greatest Hits) is what’s coming.

There you go. Big difference!
Wow. Such a good pack. Can’t wait!
That pretty much concludes Queen being in Rock Band, basically every hit has been covered now.

Flash? A Kind of Magic? Innuendo? Who Wants to Live Forever (granted, that one would be rather boring to play)? Friends Will Be Friends?
Sorry, we’re a pretty long way from having “basically every hit” by Queen in this game. There’s too darn many of them.

I’d also argue Loverboy, Princes of the Universe and a few others qualify as moderate hits that could be in the game.
Here coems December 2012.

Yeah, I was hoping for Flash and Innuendo when I saw a new Queen pack. Still going to get 5 of 9 though.

You kidding me!
Queen 04 could be:
Body Language
Who Wants To Live Forever
Innuendo
March of the Black Queen
These Are The Days of Our Lives
The Prophit Song
Flash’s Theme
Is This The World We Created

At the risk of making myself a target, I’ve never heard of any of the Queen songs mentioned in this comment and its replies. Except for Princes of the Universe, but I’ve never actually heard that.
I’m going to be so broke next week. This pack is full of WIN
Nice. Might grab a couple tracks somewhere down the line, “The Show Must Go On” being priority one.
Great stuff. Wish they’d gone full kitsch and included the Theme From Flash Gordon, though.

Yeah, just saw the hmxhenry Twitter note. Apparently, the “movie” related songs (Highlander/Flash Gordon) might not happen due to licensing issues.
Very bummed about that. Still love Queen, but I’m obviously a huge fan of the Flash stuff.

Well dont forget they have “One Vision” in the game, it was on the Highland soundtrack.

No it wasn’t. It was included in Iron Eagle, however. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Kind_of_Magic

An excellent pack!!! It’s a pity that “The Prophet’s Song” didn’t make it… but this pack is an instant buy for me!!!
Awesome selection! Glad to see Radio Ga Ga finally! This pack is an insta-buy for me!
Could do without ‘Radio Ga Ga’, but this pack is all kinds of awesome. Not so many Pro upgrades this time around, though.

Radio Ga Ga is awesome! This entire pack is awesome! My only complaint is I want even more Queen.
I have been waiting for don’t stop me now. This is…. Just…. Amazing :’D
Another Queen pack, a NINE pack, and still no “Princes of the Universe.” Oh well, keep ‘em coming!
For those curious, HMXHenry said that “Don’t Stop Me Now” was his #1 song. With that in mind, I’m surprised it didn’t show up till the third pack.

Oh wait! Show Must Go On is in the pack! haha!
Where is Dragon Attack? One of the most awesome bass lines ever!!!!
That makes, what, 27 Queen songs in the library? Good lord!
Conriocht13 Reply:

35 individual songs, but 27 if you exclude the RB3 versions.
“Bicycle Race”
“Don’t Stop Me Now”
“You’re My Best Friend”
Yesh! Yesh!
THIS MAY TO- you know what? It does! This easily tops the first pack in pure awesome it contains. Bicycle Race, Don’t Stop Me Now, Show Must Go On, Your My Best Friend *breathes* I’M IN LOVE WITH MY CAR!!!!
Ahhh, so happy <3
I will say, with both of the previous Queen packs, I was bummed that the two songs from Shaun of the Dead were omitted. Needless to say today I’m a happy panda.
I’m still behind on the two Queen packs they released last year. Time for a Queen buying spree!
Queen is pretty much an insta-buy.
I’m still really hoping that they come out with at least some of those Pearl Jam songs that were rumored a while back. Every Friday I come here with the faint glimmer of hope that this will finally be the week. Obviously, this time, I’m a lot less disappointed than I normally am.
Good thing I just loaded another $50 onto my PSN wallet…
OH……MY…….GOD
THIS HAS MADE MY WEEK.
IF NOT MY WHOLE DECEMBER.
best birthday present ever. thanks HMX!
THis is excellent, best thing in months hands down; it does break my heart however, that we did not get all of “A Night at the Opera”. “Death on Two Legs” “’39″ “Prophets Song” “Love of My Life”. After we got Bohemian Rhpasody on disk I was convinced we’d get the whole album later. So deep deep down I’m a little disapointed. But I will stave my sarrows away with “I’m in Love with my Car”

I’m in the exact same boat, I wanted the full album. It could still happen, but it’s much less likely now.
Still, kinda hard to complain when we’re getting a 9-pack of Queen!
I’m happy for the Queen fans, but…
With their new album coming out on Tuesday, I had set myself up for failure by hoping this would be the Chevelle 9-pack that I been waiting so long for.
Sad me.
Like Queen and happy for all you that will enjoy this pack but was hoping for a new artist in the Rock Band library. Of course we get new artists all the time in the RBN but I mean popular new artists. Enjoy all, will likely be picking up a few as well.
Dave Grohl had better keep his eye on the rear-view mirror…
I need to buy this.
BTW is there a reason we still do not have Fat Bottomed Girls (RB3 Version) ? I’d love to sing it with harmonies.
(PS: You could add the price in your announcement)
FUCKING HELL YEAH!! I’m so psyched for “Don’t Stop Me Now!” Keyboard is going to be an absolute blast!
Also excited for “Bicycle Race”!
I really wanted the full A Night At The Opera album, but with the songs we’re getting, and Death On Two Legs in the future, I’ll be satisfied.
Also hope we get Breakthru, Brighton Rock, and Ogre Battle sometime.
So much awesome!! If we got The Prophet Song then I would be complete.
This is the best week since Cheap Trick came out! I’m definatly getting, “You’re My Best Friend,” “Bicycle Race,” “Radio Ga Ga,” “Don’t Stop Me Now,” “The Show Must Go On” and “The Seven Seas Of Rhye.”

Another 240 MS points ($2.99) and you could have all 9. Pack price basically equates to 1.5 songs free.
Doesn’t this make them the group with the most songs now? Too bad Mr. Mercury isn’t around to see how much respect he garners in RB. I would have loved to have ‘Don’t Try Suicide’ ‘Coming Soon’ & ‘Rockit(Prime-jive)’ in there as well. “You just can’t be a prick teaser all of the time!”

Nah but it’s got Muse and Radiohead songs and a bunch of other stuff I haven’t gotten tired of playing yet. I’ll probably stuff the cable in a closet in a couple of months but it’s still new and novel right now.
Pretty spectacular. This is why you don’t release all of a band’s major hits at once. Because you can then use them much later to melt people’s faces off.
YAY
Rock Band, I love you now!
“Dont Stop Me Now” FINALLY!!
did anyone else notice on the last song had duel strumming Ala guitar hero required don’t know if its the first song but iv’e never seen it

You’re looking at keys.
While there is really no room to complain here, I would love to have seen them include “Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon” as it’s designed to flow perfectly into “I’m In Love With My Car”.
This may be the greatest week of DLC.
Ever.
What a relief, I was beginning to worry there wasn’t enough Queen in Rockband. >_>
Absolutely awesome! Looking forward to even more Queen in the future. Some more pro upgrades would be appreciated, but still planning to buy the lot.
Ah shit. I love Queen, but I HATE Bicycle Race. I’m gonna have to pay a dollar more to skip than I would to just get the whole pack.

Why not just buy the pack, delete it, and then re-download the others individually? Or even buy the pack, set Bicycle to 1 lighter and then forget you have it?
