Lots of Great Beatles: Rock Band Coverage!

As the days tick by toward the release of The Beatles: Rock Band, the fewer days the remain almost seem to make the wait longer! I’ve scanned through all of these over the course of the past few days-ish, looking for any new, minute detail that might not have been reported, and I haven’t found anything ground breaking. Feel free to check out some of these stories, they’re all very good… some include some fun audio and video media as well!
- Blast Magazine interview with Harmonix lead artist Dare Matheson (with audio interview) – What it takes to successfully traverse the Uncanny Valley (hint: concentrating on Paul’s eyebrow for a week straight)
- New York Times: All Together Now: Play the Game, Mom – “No video game has ever brought more parents together with their teenage and adult children than The Beatles: Rock Band likely will in the months and years to come.”
- ComputerandVideoGames.com: Interview: Harmonix’s John Drake waxes lyrical – John: “This is The Beatles, you can’t afford to mess this up.”
- Huffington Post: While My Guitar (Hero) Gently Weeps – “The game is likely to sell through the roof, leaving the execs at Activision (publishers of rival Guitar Hero) gently weeping – at least until they sign Led Zeppelin.” Hmm…

As review copies make their way to us journalists today and tomorrow, I suspect we’ll be seeing a lot more coverage of The Beatles: Rock Band. This is a nice round-up, I’m not sure even Led Zep can outdo the power of The Beatles.
For what it’s worth, Defunct Games (my site, for full disclosure) ran a Beatles Rock Band article earlier this week. It’s all about the rejected Beatles games.

Nice info there. I hadn’t seen the CVG one.
