The Band and More Grand Funk Railroad DLC Leaked? [UPDATE: More Songs Discovered!]

Big thanks to Nick who let us know that some people over at the official forums found some links on RockBand.com to songs that have not yet been released as DLC. And if you look at these songs, they seem to perfectly compliment the DLC rumor from last Friday. Could this again be an issue of DLC leaks coming directly from Harmonix, or since this Friday’s DLC announcement is on April Fool’s Day, that these could be part of some grand prank on the community?
The songs discovered, along with links to the placeholders pages on RockBand.com and a playlist of the two tracks, are included below:
UPDATE 1: You guys are awesome! A few more of you have found links to the following songs:
- Fleetwood Mac – Dreams
- Foo Fighters – Rope
- Mastodon – Blood & Thunder
- Phish – Stash
- Stevie Nicks – Edge of Seventeen (Just Like the White Winged Dove)
- Loverboy – Working for the Weekend
UPDATE 2: As many of you pointed out, Harmonix may have gotten wise to the cat-and-mouse game being played, as they took the site down briefly yesterday afternoon, and when it came back, the links referenced above 404′d out. However, links to band specific pages are were working, such as this one to Tommy Tutone. Links such as this now display a “Server Maintenance” error, so it looks like this methodology of discovering potential leaks has been halted.
[Thanks, Nick!]

it’s like they’re trying to keep people interested in Rock Band.
but “Rope” is just a damn great choice

Dammit double negatives. Meant to say “I believe your joke doesn’t work for now.”

Hoping for Pro upgrades. I’m still kind of surprised that Harmonix didn’t go with any songs off of Crack the Skye due to keyboard being used on that album (I know that this is still a rumor and that things can change.)
If this is true…
All of them. Getting all of them.
Man, I feel like a dick because I’ve been asking for Fleetwood Mac for years now, but really? Dreams? That’s going to be so damn boring on everything. And I’ll probably still get it to play at least once, but anything else would be so much better – like The Chain, or I’m So Afraid, or Big Love…

it’s just leaked links, personally I am hoping for a whole Rumors DLC with a couple of pro tracks

Dream does sounds boring. Oddly i’ve never heard the song? Guess i only know their radio stuff and others… :\

Dreams is the biggest hit Fleetwood Mac ever had. They’re only #1 hit in America.

While the site was up, I searched for Secondhand News, The Chain, You Make Loving Fun, Tusk, and Gold Dust Woman. I also searched for Stevie Nicks – Stand Back and Leather and Lace.
No hits for any of them.

I tried “Gypsy”, “Little Lies”, “Hold Me”, “Never Going Back Again” with no success either.
Looks like the artist pages are still up though! HMX forgot to take them down….
Better add Tommy Tutone to the list:

I hunted and found nothing. I literally entered every artist I had that wasn’t already in Rock Band.

Something tells me I know what song that is.

Tommy Tutone and Loverboy makes me think we’re getting an 80′s pack soon. They could obviously throw Joy Division and Edge Of Seventeen in with 867-5309 (Jenny) and make an 80′s pack, but I’d hope that Jenny came with some more artists that scream “Welcome to the 80′s”.
That said, using the artist hack, I tried the following artists and got nothing.
Asia
Adam & The Ants
Adam Ant
Kajagoogoo
Men At Work
The Eurythmics
Soft Cell
Cyndi Lauper
Wang Chung
Gary Numan
Falco
Thomas Dolby
Nena
The Fixx
Berlin
Culture Club
Bananarama
Poison
Flock Of Seagulls

OMG
I’m willing to bet it’s “I Love A Man In Uniform”. It’s the most famous Gang Of Four song I can really remember hearing on (non-college) modern rock radio over the years, at least in the States.

Isn’t Gang of Four on the RBN though? That aside, Entertainment full album plox.

Yes, they DID have a song on RBN back in December, a song off their 2011 album called “A Fruitfly in the Beehive”, but it’s since mysteriously disappeared. I would kill for some of their classics though.

@dc32 thanks, i could’ve sworn they were already in RB, but I didn’t see anything listed when I searched HMX song database

Don’t feel bad… I didn’t find anything when I checked their database either.

No prob. I was pretty excited when I saw they were on RBN as they’re one of my favorites, but then slightly disappointed it wasn’t any of their hits. It looks like it can still be bought through the Xbox Marketplace if you click on the link in the post I referenced above.

A Fruitfly in the Beehive was pulled from the marketplace for unknown reasons. That is why you can’t find it on rockband.com.
Edge of Seventeen!! One of the few tracks I’ve been waiting for. That and Airplane’s Somebody to Love.
happy times
Ok I just checked again. HOLY CRAP, DREAMS? THAT SONG IS AWESOME. Also working for the weekend? MY GOD CAN THIS GET ANY BETTER!?!?!?
I’ve been waiting for more Mastodon since I saw “Colony of Birchmen” on the RB2 announcement list at E3.
SPLIT YOUR LUNGS WITH BLOOD AND THUNDER!
Seriously though, the more Mastodon I can pump into my Rock Band the happier I’ll be.
More Foo Fighters?
Well now I feel like getting my 360 fixed sooner.
I was hoping the Grand Funk track would be I’m Your Captain (Closer To Home).
god i hope this is true, especially for The Band’s sake.
Crap it looks like I’m gonna have to wait to get my favorite bands in, I tried the artist trick with Toto, Gary Numan, Hall and Oates and I tried Bryan Adams after I found out summer of 69 was already in RB
That is a killer list. Especially the Mastodon (FINALLY!!!) and Fleetwood Mac, and Stevie Nicks.
EFF YEAH ROPE
I <3 me some foo fighters.
