Lego: Rock Band… Coming to Nintendo DS!

DS bound!

Didn’t see this coming, but now that it’s out there, it makes complete sense.

Expected for release this coming Holiday season, Lego: Rock Band will also be making its way to the Nintendo DS.  Based on the screenshot above, it appears to be playing off of its Rock Band: Unplugged, Amplitude, and Frequency roots.  One nice thing about this is that it requires no other peripherals (a la Rock Band: Unplugged).

ALSO… songs expected to appear on the DS version of the game are as follows:

  • Kaiser Chiefs – Ruby*
  • The Automatic – Monster*
  • Ray Parker Jr. – Ghostbusters*
  • Tom Petty – Free Fallin’*
  • Jackson 5 – I Want You Back
  • Vampire Weekend – A-Punk
  • Blur – Song 2
  • Carl Douglas – Kung Fu Fighting
  • Europe – The Final Countdown
  • Good Charlotte – Boys and Girls
  • Pink – So What
  • Counting Crows – Accidentally in Love
  • Sum 41 – In Too Deep

* Denotes unique to the DS version (… for now?)

GHOSTBUSTERS?! That better be DLC for the main RB series.

Also, I might have to pick this up. I’ve never gotten a chance to play Amplitude or Frequency since I’ve never had a PS2 and I don’t own a PSP so that means no RB:U either.
